I asked this in another thread, but I'd like to ask here, how difficult in comparison to online poker is casino poker? Do you get more tourists looking to just have a good time, or do you get more of the type that plays regularly and is a very solid player?

Another question:
What is the age limit for casinos? I always thought it was 18 (turned 18 in the summer) but heard it was 21 recently, wasn't sure.

Finally, $1/$2 is the lowest limit usually found in casinos, correct? Or can you find a good $0.25/$0.50 game?

Thanks.

In my experience you get just as many donks at a casino as online.

I find it easier to play at a casino, because I can pick up on tells that other players may be giving off.

I think it's slightly harder to be patient at a casino though. Having to sit through an hour of crap cards can be frustrating, so you really need to be disciplined.

As for limits, I've never seen lower than $1/2 in a B&M game. Maybe a place or two out in vegas has .25/.50, but around me it's 1/2 at the lowest.

I go to AC about once a quarter, and there certainly are more tourists/donks in certain casinos than others, but they really are everywhere at any amount.

For instance, at one SNG I played at the Wild Wild West, a guy sat down, called off all his chips on the river with pair of 2s, queen kicker and lost to 2 pair that the guy had flopped. This was a $65 SNG. If you play a $65 SNG online, you will usually not see that kind of play on the first hand. You might have two people get it all in on big cards or a coin flip, but usually not calling off with bottom pair.

It's 21 in Vegas and AC, 18 at Indian Casinos. There are some Indian casinos in New York state and also in the midwest and southwest.

You won't find smaller limit games in brick and mortar casinos. The lowest game I could find in Vegas was $3/$6 Limit and $1/$2 NL. In AC, the lowest games are $2/$4 Limit and $1/$2 NL.

At some Indian Casinos (like Seneca Niagara in NY), the age is 21 (they serve free alcohol).

I would say the donk level is much higher live than online. Live players at 1/2NL are terrible, and wouldn't be able to make money in the 0.01/0.02 game online for the most part.

Stratosphere in Vegas has a "low limit no limit" game with blinds of 1/1, buy yeah, usually 1/2 is the lowest NL game you can find.
