Sticky issue... Not all states in the US are banned from online poker. I believe it was south carolina (refer to PPA website) whos judge twice decalred poker a game of skill over a game of luck. Not being from that state i dont know specific laws but I believe that state youre ok to play.
For future reference overseas E-wallets and possibly western union are the safest way for US players, but expensive. I posted an article about a week ago in this forum about how banks are supposed to become more strict with enforcing possible activity involving such things as online poker starting in december. From reading blogs ive heard of one player getting their bank account locked after cashing a check for over $7k from a poker site
. When trying to withdraw money he was told his account is locked as hes under investigation. Dont get frantic though, its the only case ive heard of. Id check your bank account balance periodically over the next 2 weeks and if you dont here anything by then and have no transaction issues with that bank you should be ok. Just try to keep the withdraw checks to a minimum and be careful of the tax barrier. Let us know how it goes.. good luck.
