Cash Live to Online Tournament Player

Hello Cardschat members. Ima cash game player from california. I have learned poker from this forum for the last year. But now I want to be an online tournament player. My point of this post is that really want to play online. But I'm not familiar with real money competive play. So things such as wut limit,poker trackers, which site, or sign up on multiple sites. Lookin forward to posting with yu guys on a regular basis all your help is needed.

If i was you id download pokerstars.net and play for free then when u get the hang of it download pokerstars.com and play for real money.

Yeah I play for free on fulltilt. I play live everyday so I know a little about poker. But never played on pokerstars so I will try that as I continue to study tournament strategy.

I too am a live cash game player (Limit) transitioning to online play (NLH)...haven't decided on cash, SNG, or tournament just yet, dabbling in a little of everything until I find my comfort zone . I am finding that online is definitely different than live. I would recommend that you begin in the Strategy Articles section first & foremost -- lots of good info there & may provide insight in which direction that would work out best for your situation.
