I prefer banana's :)
I understand your promoting the forum. I agree that this needs to be! I would not profess to know the true reasons for what decisions that are what they are . I would just like to see more from the internal group that's constant to us all currently
It's all well maybe one day we would be strong enough to represent our self's
shuffle up and deal :shakehand let the game begin.:trytofly:
I have read some of the wins some member have made! these are very impressive in this day and age of players.

:canabis: peace :icon_sunn

cardschat is a fun place to learn, I am trying to be a constant student!and playing is the best way to learn in my opinion.

Yea - we give long term and active members a chance to sign up first - but not many of our forums can make it to Vegas every year. It helps to have some members on the team who have won a lot of money playing and are well known in the industry and in Vegas.

But we spend way more in 1 month on our online active forum members than we do in a year on this team event. :)

YWe do 1 annual live team event to promote our brand in the poker community.

IMHO Mason, view this as a brand building, promotional opportunity for the forum. Other forums have parties in Vegas for their members (and it can be any member even one that signs up that day) and other activities. They way that CC is 'sponsoring' some players at a wsop event, IMHO, provides a better return for the forum for the limited budget that is available.

As a long term loyaler, I'd LOVE to have the forum provide complete packages to live events around the world but I can understand that the promotional ROI for such would be very limited. Additionally, if a 'large' number of forum members arrange to attend a live event, I'm sure the forum admins would consider a proposal for some sort of sponsorship. Determining what 'large' is would be the question though, but I would imagine 20+ might get the admins attention.

I completely understand the reasons behind the why ! I would have thought more regulars might be able to participate but that dose not seem to be the case. I get that we all can't manage this in our lives. the ones that do get the privilege of being sponsored are the ones who get sponsored. and I understand that it's not a 100% compensated sponsoring. So there is still a will to succeed by the participants. I will also add that I am still behind the ones who participate! :) for I am a team player and member first!

As a long-term regular on CC, I would give my left gonad to play in the team event. But every year (and Debi can attest to this) things happen and I'm never in Vegas the same time everybody else is!

One of these years the stars will align and I will make it happen. Until then, I have to settle for a charity tournament for "Kids Need to Read":

https://www.facebook.com/events/416116475453851/

The sponsorship that CC gives for this is far and beyond brand building. It is priceless promotion in front of the maximum number of eyeballs. It's the same thing i'm doing by taking my Cyber Warfare Range experience to Comicon in two weeks. It gives us the ability to reach out to nearly 80,000 people in one shot.

Now all we need is for the CC team to go deep this year to get maximum exposure! Go Team!

The ROI for complete packages could be close to zero - the cost is huge and you can't control who wins - could be someone from Texas or someone from Russia. You also can't guarantee the winner will even show up after receiving the funds.

That is how we came up with this - members have to get there on their own - then we pay a portion of the buy-in and have the last longer. They don't get any money until they have met the qualifications. We can help multiple members instead of throwing all of the money to 1 person who may or may not show up - or could bust early giving us next to zero exposure at the event.

It is much more effective to have 20 people represent us - we get at least 1 person in the money every time. Plus - we have well known players walking around in our hoodies all day - Ryan Laplante is a bracelet winner who cashed in 12 WSOP events last year. :)

All of the regulars who want to and are able to participate are - we have turned no regulars away at all - never in 4 years of doing this. :)

Mrs Debi, please remove me from the possible list. After my foot surgery last month and my grandmother passing a couple weeks ago, getting to Vegas by June 2 just isn't possible. What saddens me the most is I will not get to meet all the people from CC who are going. GL team and I will be railing the whole way. Btw anyone going to Durant in January, just holler , maybe we can meet up and shake hands. Durant in January, is the trade off for me missing this. Lol Have a good un all!!

Hey all! I'm so thrilled to finally be able to participate in a CC team event!

I've been playing poker for almost 14 years now(been taking it seriously for probably the past 9 years) I've played in a few live events before, including WSOP main event, but unfortunately no cashes. I Play live cash/tournaments at my local casino a few times a month and have had some decent success. Most of my major cashes have been online, but hoping to turn that around with a bink in this event:)

I'm a forum guide at here at CardsChat and also part of the league team. I've been involved with our league for 14 seasons, and 9 seasons straight as captain of The LAG Monkeys

I'm pretty well known around the forum and can't wait to finally get to meet some of you! Rungood to us all!!!! #TeamCardsChatFTW

Hi there! I'm Terri and I've been playing poker for almost 5 years. I started playing serious poker about 1 1/2 yrs ago and have since had 5 event cashes and have learned so much! You can find me on Hendon Mob as Terrice Jackson. I'd love to be part of the team and have that support of some great players! I think it's amazing to have a support system in this crazy poker world we love ❤️.

Was popping in to say I wasn't going to be able to make this and to remove me from the possible list but I see that's already been done?

Good luck all! Hope a CC member takes it down!

Yep - removed everyone we had not heard from last week. It was way past time to confirm. :)
