I am starting a thread HERE for sharing the names of poker books. It's simple, you just write a post with the name of a book and how it helped you. Then tell us what book you are going to read next and why. It's my hope this thread will help everyone find new books they may have never even heard of. Let's share good practice!

Why I read it: It gives you a reason why you play poker
How it helped me: Learning how other players play and think about poker

Hello Ragequit,
I like the thread, the last poker book I read was a bit of a disappointment so I am going to pick one from the past that I am going to revisit. I went online to reserve it at the library and I will pick it up tomorrow.


Name of book: A forgettable book about poker math that I bought online that turned out to be a pamphlet of little use with no new insights.
Why I read it: always researching
How it helped me: it made me realize that you get what you pay for and a $0.99 bargain book is cheap for a reason
What book I am going to read next: Harrington on Hold 'Em
Why I am going to read it: going to re-read it to reinforce what I absorbed the first reading and to see if I can find some things I missed the first time.
