Soooo.. im sick of shuffling cards at my home games. we use more than 1 deck somtimes, but its still slow. so i'm going to invest in a card shuffler. anyone know of a great one, that doesnt cost a ton?
Don't know what stakes you're playing at your home game but we got to the point about 6 months ago where we just bring in a dealer who works for tips only (the game is not raked). The last few times we have had this 21-year old well endowed hotty! She's a local but knows how to deal, keeps the game moving, and the pot straight. I think she dealt for 5 hours Saturday night and cashed out for ~$300. Not to bad for a 21-year old girl who isn't having sex on camera.
Yeah whatever you do dont go and buy the $6 from Target that thing pisses me off..takes a little too long to take the cards out because the slot is pretty small compared to the cards.
GL on finding one
what do you consider a ton? they now have some proffesional type card shufflers out there for $499-$599 they can even be put in a table flush with the surface. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Shuffle+tech+card+shufflers
Shuffling should be 2nd nature to those who host a home game. After a few thousand hands, you become accustom and enjoy riffing the cards thru youir fingers.
I got one from Target, didn't cost much and it works fine. It does take the hassle out of shuffling cards and it is much quicker than doing it by hand.
just got one at wallmart. POS. the box said 4 AA batteries, uses a 9v.. the finally get a 9v, the damn thing runs.. but wont even move my cards. returning asap lol

Most home card shufflers I've seen, especially the cheaper ones, need a paper deck to work because they've got little "teeth" that bite into the card surface to move them. If you're using a plastic deck the teeth can't bite and the cards go nowhere.
