Just got a notice at Titan that Toronto Dominion Bank is no longer handling gaming transactions!!!

Don't forget Canucks, the banking restrictions come into effect in US in Dec., and a lot of Canadian banks may follow suit, as they are closely tied to US banks...

Is this the start of a disaster up here??

This could spread like a virus
Let's hope it's not a pandemic!

Meaning just no direct deposits to gaming sites, or does it mean more than just that?

Aaargghh.. that's MY bank!! But I go through Moneybookers there so may be OK, but banks may start refusing Moneybookers and instadebit also, which would be disastrous.

We all may have to move to Antigua!! (hmmm... there is a bright side!!)

As you can see I live in the US, but found a way around the Visa gift card that I purchased yesterday that didn't work and my on-line banking that didn't work because of the gaming restrictions. I was trying to get a deposit at pokerstars so I could play tonight & another CCer told me to try e-checks. It's done through Trinity Global Commerce (trnpay.com) and it worked...absolutely no problems! Try it & best luck! Please tell me if it does or doesn't work for you, my friends in canada!:)

Hmmm that sucks, is it just depositing with a credit card that isnt working?

I deposit all cheques from poker sites into TDbank so i hope they still work, i doubt i will have any issues though with future ones.

Read the thread please before making more misleading statements or asking more questions. There is no article, try google. No idea about the quebec thing. GL!

This folks. From what I understand(and I could be wrong) is that even after Dec when this all takes affect banks still have to honor (e)checks. Banks can not just not honor a vaild check-it would cause problems thoughout the banking system. I talked to my banker and he said the e-check/checks should still work after Dec.

I've heard the same...e-checks have to be honored! It would mess up the entire banking system & we all know that won't happen!:) Supposedly, even the all-access Visa cards won't be honored after December.:)
