After my very first initial deposit on FT it wouldn't let me make subsequent deposits. I was using a Maestro debit card. I emailed the cashier at FT and got a stanard spiel reply suggetsing I use a different payment method and they were keen to suggest payment agents (I wonder why !!!). I flatly refused to alter my payment method as it had been fine for my first deposit. Anyway, we exchanged about 6/7 emails in all, and all I got from FT was the same standard reply and a hot link to their alternative payments web page. I was pretty fuming at this stage so in a final email I told them I was off to
pokerstars instead.
1 day later and my Maestro card was suddenly working again !!
Go figure !
The cynical view is that this was a deliberate block on my account to try to force me to use a payment agent (which charges commission of course). The non-cynical view is that the payment institutions are just crap and it's all out of FTs
hands.
My advice, send some explicit emails to the cashier !
