Just wanted to see if some of you have the same problem as me...

I have read every post on CC about good BRM, and like to think I have a very good understanding of what I need to do. The problem is this: I CANNOT play anything under .05/.10 ring games no matter what my bankroll is. I dont care if i have $10 left, im not playing .02/.05 because it is so boring i will donk it all of anyway.

I have no desire to play micro stakes, therefore I perform badly at these stakes. I rarely let my BR fall to a level where I must go down into these levels, so i dont normally have to worry about this, but I think I will prolly go as far as to deposit again just so I dont have to.

Any of you have a problem with this???

I dont have a problem with it, its your money. Sounds a bit silly to me personally when I hear players saying I cannot play the lowest games because I cannot play for such little money etc. These players usally lose a lot of money and redeposit alot but if it works for you then fair play just be honest with yourself is it because you actually cannot beat that level yet? Basically poker is a game of removing leaks to play as well as you can and I think this is a big leak.

It's a lack of discipline. It isn't that you can't, it's that you wont.

Either play within your current bankroll or deposit enough for 10nl or accept that you're going to lose your bankroll on a regular basis.

I realize it is lack of discipline, that's why i added that i do occasionally deposit to get myself back over the limits if need be. I am a pretty young individual who has yet to learn the value of a dollar (sad part is that i realize this.).

This isn't on a regular basis that this happens to me, i probably should have pointed this out as well.

I not only play poker to make money, I mainly play it for fun, so less money unfortunately usually means less fun. I do get a lot of enjoyment figuring out my opponents at any stake, but let's be honest, a $5 pot is not nearly as exciting as a $50 pot, etc..

There's nothing wrong with that.

The only problem would be if you played with poor BRM and were unprepared to lose your deposit.

For sng play I won't play super micros. It's f'n terrible. (although I admit, there has been an occassion where I'm busy doing other stuff & decide to bring up a sup micro sng... cuz u really don't need to watch the table anyways... just put the pile in).

For MTT's... some sites I refuse to play super micro stakes... others I don't mind multi-tabling them.

For cash games.. some sites I don't mind dickin' around on 5nl with a few tables up (again though, it depends on what site... some sites they play 20nl similiarly to 2nl on others).

Yea I have the same problem I suggest using Sng tourneys to build your BR. I don't play cash game until I have at least $1000 in my account.

That sounds like a rather extreme policy if you ask me, but to each his own..

So if you've got $10 left, ur playing 10nl???

That's pretty insane obv.,.. surely you're joking.

When I sit down at a cash table it's not all too uncommon for me to drop a couple buyins in the first 5 or 10mins. (I'm always working at/looking to get the stack in). Alot of rookies covet their stack like they're playing a Tourney, and aren't reloading to 100bb's when they lose a pot... this is clearly a bad way to play cash tables (not sayin' you're playing this way... but if you only have 1 buyin in your roll... or if you'd actually play on at a limit where you only have 1 buyin.... then how couldn't you be).
