After being destroyed in the CC freeroll yesterday( out in 15 minutes) I decided to turn off football, head over to poker stars and play a dollar SNG.
Needless to say I won. (single table SNG) So later I played a 45 person, dollar SNG and made it to 3rd place, increasing my b/r by 11.50 total .
So my question is..........
Was it luck or is my game finally starting to take hold.
I started a bank roll from sctratch and I'm up to 70 bucks over about 6 mos.
I'm very careful with my b/r and only play for money once or twice a week.
play freerolls whenever I have time.
Opinions?????
Merry Christmas Everyone

Serious answer .... far to early to make an assumption, just be happy, content and enjoy your wins and a Happy Christmas as well ;)

WTG on your $0 to $70 ... that is very impressive !

Before I say anything, nice job on the 0-70. IMO I believe you should play a little more. If you have the roll you can sit down at the .01/.02 tables with like a dollar or two and easily turn it into a 2 or 3 dollar profit. I built a roll from scratch and its been about a month and I have it up to $55. If cash games arent your thing keep pounding those $1 SNG's until you feel comfortable and safe to move on up. Im sure you game is improving, but you cant tell how much. Keep grinding the tables and you will find out

Congrads man... NOW USE CAUTION Sit & Go's are the most Volatile game to be played in poker, so use extreme bank roll management . It is really hard do but you should never play a game that is more then 10 % of your bank roll. Play Hard and good luck

No way to base an assumption on 1 days accomplishments, but it sounds like you have a sound strategy working. Stay with it, continue to play within your BR, and it'll work itself out. If you can turn the 70 into a couple hundred without going bust, then you're on your way.

0$ to 70 $ .. that is impressive.. i think you should drop freerolls and go on play that low stake sng s . If you consistantly end int the price pool.Than you have a improving game.Good luck

Nah don't drop the freerolls. They're a lot of fun in the second half(if u can get to the second half). Also and this is just my opinion but they'll keep you primed for freerolls should you make a mistake and have to start over.(they're also good practice for hella cheap satellites)

can't stop freerollin I'm addicted besides its good practice you get a total cross section of styles of play. Mostly manic but you watch the survivors of the first hour and a half and most of them turn into the solid players you want to play anyway. like ND said ..."If you survive the first half"
