"Boston Rob" Mariano in the WSP?!

Has anyone heard about Boston Rob from Survivor and Amazing Race being in this year's Worls Series of Poker??

You are kidding me! I wonder what his table talk will be like, if any? I don't think he could keep his mouth shut plus I bet he will be easy to read.

he was in it last year I believe also, he plays.

not sure how good but he plays.

There was some reality show with him and Daniel Negranuea (sp?) where DN was to teach him how to play. I believe DN punted him though because he would not follow the advice given.

"Rob & Amber: Against the odds"--- DN only threatened to punt him... still he looked like a terrible player overall.

I actually saw him play a couple of times before, in tourneys and cash games, and he seems pretty solid to me. Doesn't seem like he's "lousy," seems like he knows what he's doing to the point that he isn't "lousy" or a fish. That's about as far as I could go though in analyzing his play, havn't seen enough of his play to state whether he's better than an average player, or even if he is a winning player.

On another note, I can't believe I posted in this thread.

apparently he tries to be LAG but cant play postflop well.

His name has been mentioned a few times, but he has not cashed.

I'm surprised it's true. Just something I heard glad to confirm it with you folks. Anyone know how he's doing??
To be honest, I can't stand the guy. I hope he gets KO'ed early!!

I watched that show with Daniel Negranuea, it seemed like he knew what he was doing but he wouldn't listen to any advice DN gave him. It's that know all attitude that will prob get him in trouble. I heard on Kbig he is gonna host some new reality show where you win 10 million, so I guess we will be seeing him all the time again.

i just heard about this other show he's hosting called tontine...supposed to be a mix of amazing race and survivor but better ...i cant really stand rob but anyone know about this show?

I think he had a modest cash at a big event recently. I am not sure if it was one of the earlier wsop events or some other tournament.

I just auditioned here in NY, it was fun Rob was really nice and the wait wasn't even that long just about an hour. They asked me all these weird questions and all I kept thinking about was what a douche Rob was on the reality show with DN. They were kind of hinting at the idea of the contestants having to gamble their belongings. That would be real interesting to see who has the balls to do it
