has any of you ever found yourselves bored of poker.lately i have found my self 15 minutes into a sng or mtt wishing i had never entered because i dont really feel like playing. even at a live mtt last week i found myself with 10 players left just wanting to go home. has this ever happen to any of you seasoned players . i dont want to quit playing but my game is not its best when i find myself not really in to it . any suggestions

i get bored in sngs alot. i start going all in every hand. ive never been bored in a live game that close to the end. you just need a break, do you play cash games?

I think if you feel like that then maybe take a few days off.

Taking poker as a life work means there will be a long way to go.Its not avoidable sometime I feel bored and tired.As long as I liking playing poker,this situation will be overcome.Just go to beachs,have a rest.

Poker is a fantastic game, but I think it's important to have some other hobbies. If you have other passions and interests it makes it easier to stay excited about poker. I think this leads to better play when you are playing also.

Boredom can be normal in anything you do a lot, everyone needs a break rather it be from poker, your job, or your girl friend we need a break from our daily routines its natural. Take a vacation find a show on Netflix and watch a couple of seasons or play some video games.

However if you feel bored about everything that you once enjoyed it may be depression and in which case you should go see a DR and he/she will fix ya right up =)

Well i was in a small buy in tourny and my friend was telling me jokes, and i got distracted and yeah i was bored of the game at the time. I should not have been playing at that time when really i just wanted to laugh with my friend.
maybe you should take a few days off, then get back into it.

I've been lacking some serious motivation the last couple days. I sit down, start to play, and in 30 minutes I am bored and don't want to play anymore. It's not because I'm doing poorly. I'm up 8 buy-ins in under 2 hours of play over the last couple of days. I am just not feeling it.

I have a new thing though, as soon as I feel like stopping, I stop. I don't push it. That's how I turn winning sessions into losing sessions. Or losing sessions into massive losing sessions.

I am a little worried about making my point goal for this week (need 150 for the $40 bonus), but I'm not going to push myself to play beyond my limits for it.

Yeah the only way to profit from poker is through discipline and patience, I had to discover that as a donk.

i feel this way all the time when i get a long run of getting crap hands and when i finally get something like QQ or JJ..i shove and someone usually sucks out. patience is not my virtue.

Yes, sometimes, but if you feel bored, do not play/plan to starting play SNG or MTT.

the good thing to deal with boredom is
open music, eating chips, iceream, watching movie, and see post on CC.....etc.

thanks for all the input , thing is its not like this is all i do , i am going to school , got a 30hr a week job and am raising a 2 yr old monster . maybe a long break is what i need. but i like the icecream idea think ill try that first
