I just now started to play bodog freerolls for about a week and have noticed it is A LOT more like live play. Every other hand isn't some miracle hand, some times people don't hit a pair and not every hand is straight / full house / flush or something crazy.

I don't know why, but it is a lot more like live play for me compared to these other poker sites.

After a few hours of playing, I have had pocket 2s, 6s, 9s and my best hand was QK os.

If I was on pokerstars / fulltilt I am almost guaranteed to have had AA / KK / QQ by now and maybe a few flushes / straights / etc.

Either everyone on bodog has bad luck, or it's actually like real poker.

Not only that, but the players aren't playing super stupid in freerolls. People won't just call all-ins totally randomly and know how to fold and everything! It's a whole new online poker experience :D

To bad they have the worst interface :(

I like the interface and the speed at which you can play. Plus there is something to be said for the fact that you can look at peoples' profiles, it give you a hint at the image that they are trying to represent at the table.

I think you may have had a unique experince, though. For a while there, I was calling them Flushes-Are-Us. Played in the $1000 5000 person freeroll tonight after laying off them for a while, first table some dude was going all-in every hand. (Called him when I got AQ and was out)

Glad you like it though, maybe we will run into each other at the tables.

(P.S.) I am learning how to become a better player from being a member of this forum:D Thanks

Oh I still won't deposit there, I will only make deposits on FullTilt. But if I win freeroll money Bodog is great. I had over 8k chips with the average at 3k in that tournament and largest stack at 24k with 1300 of 5000 people left.

I ended up going out on a JJ6 flop, 6 turns, Q river. I had J10 or something other guy had JA. Oh well :\

I can't deposit legally, so I don't. Just lots of free practice. Currently playing the play $2000 SNGs and the $4000 max $20/40 ring.
cheers

What I hate the most about Bodog is that if you are in a tournament with a player who is sitting out, they don't instamuck their cards when they get blinded out to be all in. It's really annoying getting sucked out on from someone who isn't even playing.

There is your problem, m8. Insufficient sample. You would need to play at least 10,000 hands to be able to say anything statistically meaningful about the site.

Err, isn`t that usual at most (if not all) sites ? I can`t recall one that is any different.

Every other site (UB, full tilt, pokerstars) has people that are sitting out automuck their cards even if they are all in for the hand. Bodog actually requires you to play out the hand, so a person who is sitting out can actually win the hand.

I tried to join Bodog last year and they told me they cant except Canadiands. Does anyone know if this is still true? also why? I have heard alot about the US laws prohibiting US players but I always thought it was legal for Canadians.

Bodog are licensed in canada on condition that they do not take bets from domestic players.

Every other site (Ultimatebet, full tilt, pokerstars) has people that are sitting out automuck their cards even if they are all in for the hand.

I know I asked this already, and I don`t mean to be rude, but are you sure ? I can`t remember about the sites you mention, but on the Ipoker Network (where I am playing a MTT right now) it is definitely possible for a sitout to win a final all-in, although sitouts auto-fold to a raise in every other circumstance.

A final all-in yes (at least I think so), but the blinds are auto-folded on pokerstars / other sites. Even if no one raises.

Bodog rules! :)

Even the interface I like more than the other sites, it's cleaner, more mature and faster.
