What stakes/games do you play?

Hey munchers, thanks as well mate. Currently playing micro only, following BR rules to me are more important than anything else.

Cash Games are .01/.02 - Will graduate to .02/.05 when BR =$200 minimum.
SnG is 9 man $1.20 - Will graduate to 10 man $3.40 when BR = $170 minimum.
MTT - play maybe 2 or 3 a week and follow the same rules for these games as I do SnG's - at least 50 buyin's (but I'm thinking of increasing that to 100 buy-ins as my history really isn't that strong in MTT's.

All no limit holdem, need to grasp the game properly. Very interested in Pot Limit Omaha, but don't feel I'm ready for it yet, too many big swings.

And in between playing trying to learn blogspot properly, it's all very exciting.

I remember talking to you on stars a few weeks ago at one of the sngs you were playing. Im from melbourne as well and ive got pretty similar goals to you.

Thanks Ezza, i'll be posting more about long-term goals later on so keep an eye out. If you see me on the tables say whats-up aswell. I'll be grinding on the $1.20's for a while, then moving to the $3.40's, big time baby, YEAH!

i would say the hardest part about being like 'i'm gonna play 100 $1 SNGs, then move up to $3' is actually staying focused on your goal when you're 30% through and hit a downswing...

Vanquish, 100% agreed. Theres nothing worse than a downswing. Should that happen - if i drop below 50 buyins for the $3 then its right back to grinding on those $1's until the BR rules are achieved yet again. Staying focused is not easy by any rate, but discipline will allow focus to be maintained.
