Has anyone ever tried the online blackjack? And has anyone ever made any money on it or do most of them just take your money?? I was thinking about trying it for real money but I was afraid of unfair computer odds??

Let me answer that --- NO!

I have written a blackjack book.

Here it is...

"HOW TO WIN AT ONLINE BLACKJACK", by hacklimit

Page One

YOU CAN'T!!!

The End.

I have shopped it around to different publishers. They have all declined to publish. I have no idea why. :)

No you can't be a long-term winner at online blackjack. The house has an inherent edge and since it is impossible to count cards online there is no way to overcome this edge.

I've had little luck playing online blackjack, and would say because the odds are in favor of the house and you're not catching the vibes of a live table, keep to poker where a skilled player can gain an advantage.

You can win at live Blackjack, but not online.

In my opinion I would say no to online black jack, even though I had good luck ONCE. I was playing poker a site a couple years back and lost all but $2 of my bankroll. Naturally I was pissy and was not going to play good poker. The site I was on had black jack also, I put my 2 bucks in and in about two hours(gradually increasing my bets) I had over $2k. I should of cashed out, but left the money in my account. Over the next few weeks they got it all back plus some since I was trying to hit that streak again. I think that one night they got me hooked and their payback was the extra two or three hundred I bought back in for. That was the end of my online black days. Oh and by the way, I'm not a bad black jack player either, 90% of the time I play in a casino I come out ahead or at least break even.
Peace

Exactly.

Online the cards are shuffled every round so you cant count cards.

Live they are not shuffled every round as it slows the game down and the casino looses out as less hands are dealt every hour.

Counting cards is not easy.. but it cannot be done at all online.. so the house always plays with an edge.

if anything is rigged black jack is definitely online. My luck is so bad on blackjack that lastime I went to Atlantic City I got beat with back to back 21 holding with 20 by 5 card 21's. I absolutely hate this game and feel better playing the lotto or giving to the homeless. I make alot of my money online lately on pot limit omaha. Im avg about 150 a day right now and am loving every minute of it. Im very good with math and practice perfect bankroll management. You can make steady money in No limit/Fixed limit also but as in all poker know your odds and especially your math. A good read for anyone wanting to make money is the mathematics of poker. Its very complex book but definitely for someone serious in making steady income on the side like me. I made over 16k last year between live and online play and this year Im already over 5k in winnings. Hope this inspires some people as I never thought I would be where I am at today. Best of luck all!! Unlucky79

I second unlucky79's sentiments, I can't stand blackjack...that being said I can't go to a casino without playing it, even though I have never won anything at...You think you can beat it and you want to so bad you keep going back to give the house more of your money...The only saving grace is that I know better than to invest too much cash into it

Well in that case could you explain how it applies to full ring no-limit poker.. because all I really got out of it was game theory of HU limit poker.
