actually the answer is no for several reasons
1. USA is not destroying internet poker, they just want the companies to do things the right way, i.e. NOT CHEAT THE PLAYERS out of their money or commit bank fraud (UB, FT and PS all did this regularly). Do not confuse protecting the people with destroying poker.
2. You can see that the above is true because
888 Poker,
poker stars, and
wsop.com are all operational again in the USA legally because they decided that it is worth trading some regulation to be operational in this country.
3. When more websites decide not to cheat the system or the players they too will be allowed to operate in the USA.
Is the USA being fair? I think so. Do they want their cut? Of course, and they are due that cut. So before you get on a high horse and declare the USA is ruining internet poker you must first read up on what is really happening. Was the UIGEA a sneak attack - yea but in light of their findings afterwards it seems more and more that this was a good idea, these sites were breaking so many laws and making literally BILLIONS of dollars because of it.
