Now i know there is different strategy in rebuys and when someone gos all in on a draw they can rebuy if they miss. I just find it interesting when people will constantly rebuy and in a sense need to final table to make money.

Where as freerolls there is no money put up so there isn't any to be loss. However once you are out you are out. Also many people on a gamble just trying to build a BR.

I see the rebuys as a bigger donk fest. Course as stated above when money is lost the bad beats suck that much more.

(Side note had two bad beats in two recent rebuys couldn't handle doing a rebuy due to becoming too tilted)

In a rebuy tournament there is the option to rebuy so if they have the bankroll they generally rebuy quite a few times. Generally if Im going to enter a tourney I make sure I can afford (as per my bankroll) at least two rebuys and the add on. I also "add on" when my chip stack is just below starting chips as its an easy way to "double up". This way you have more clout on the table as people tend to be scasred of the bigger stacks in these tournamnents.

Remmeber the more rebuys there are the more chips are at the table

so i'm guessing you would say freerolls are bigger donk fests?

I agree with what you say about rebuys rather standard thinking. Is wreckless play part of a normal strategy.

hard to compare freerolls to rebuys, getting a big stack early in a rebuy tourny can put you in position for a deep run after the first break. if your not prepared to make rebuys you should not be playing, the loose play you see is very common even at the higher levels. i believe daniel negraneau set a record for number of rebuys at one of the last wsop events. after the first hour of play its basically back to a regular deepstack tourny.

Good point. Also, you should just about always opt for the add on because if you don't you lose ground to those that do and if you do you gain ground on those that don't.

I guess loose play would be a better term. I have to agree be prepared to rebuy when you are in a rebuy tourney. I can't imagine how makeing say avg 8 rebuys could ever be profitable. These are the people that are just seam senseless and wreckless to me.

Freerolls are absolutely more of a donk fest than rebuys

Freerolls- Pretty much like playin bingo.....If u win go buy a lottery ticket right away cause your really lucky

Rebuys- A little bit better.....but not by far

Here's my take on it:

Freerolls are more prone to be a donk fest than a rebuy tournament because the players in a freeroll are only investing their time. In a rebuy tournament there is absolutely no point in playing if you are not going to rebuy due to the nature of the setup. With that being said, one should have a very good gameplan going into a rebuy tournament because u cant just keep rebuying time and time again as it will become pointless and you would just be wasting not only your time but your money as well.

Freerolls by far, in a freeroll maybe ten percent of the field is playing with any kind of seriousness. In a rebuy especially once the rebuy period is over, you can get up against some pretty good players. Also rebuyers are probably playing coin flips, freerollers are playing anything.

I have to admit I was rather tilted when I made this post. (kinda like calling your ex after a night of drinking) When all is said and done I would also say freerolls are bigger donk fests.

Re-buys are usually only insane until the re-buy period ends. Then they pretty much play like any other tourney IMHO.

I don't belive fulltilt allows you to rebuy until your chips are gone.I belive they used to but i remember being in the 10cent 1000 dollar rebuy a week ago and i couldn't rebuy until my chips where gone.Troit is right re buys are insane until that re buy period ends and freerolls are just donfests period

Ok, so Which are the bigger donk fests? FR's or Rebuys? Personally to me Rebuys are'nt even my thing, but I remember last year or was it the year before I use to play those $3.30 rebuys on PS, now the thing is, first was usually near 11k, so yeah, you really can't compare the two against eachother in a sense...It's like comparing a Green Apple, and Red Apple, both are Apples ok, but the taste is different, except in the case, even so it's still more like comparing a rotten Apple with a fresh, Juicy, Mouth Watering Red Apple:p FR's are just that FREE, with a stupid Payout, and Rebuys are just that=A nice Pay-Day
