I don't have a very big bank roll so I do play 1/2 games a lot. I play at poker rooms and house games. The poker rooms seem to respect more bets where as the home games don't . For ex: At a 1/2 home game where most buy in between 40 and 100. If a player gets a good hand pre flop, they would lead out betting 15- 20 a hand. At these home games people are re buying and going all in all nite. I wounder do they realize that a 25 dollar bet is a lot of your money when you buy in for 40-100. I guess my question is how do i put up or handle such betting patterns? Betting 20 into a 3 dollar pot doesnt seem smart but its real crazy when multiple people call and Im in late position with pocket Q's. If you understand and can help, I appreciate it!

Obviously they have no idea of pot odds or care to. People do this all the time online. Since they know pot odds, they use them to make it unprofitable for you to call on a draw or make you second guess your made hand. I assume you however do understand them since you are on a poker forum.
So the only advice I can give is; Some times you just have to ignore pot odds and a lot of by the book poker theory and go with your gut and what you know about the other players.

its not just online, its live as well. If I have a great hand but there are cards out there to give someone a str8 or flush if they hit 1 more card, Im going to bet it so they dont want to risk too much to find out if they hit.

If you are talking solely about preflop, and people are going for consistently crazy big bets pre (mind you, 6-8bb isn't crazy big for live play), then just wait for strong hands and get aggro. Try 3betting hands like AK and QQ that are almost certainly ahead of everyone's ranges, and get it in preflop if you have to. But it's better to get a bigger pot and narrow the field, so just do what you have to do to give yourself the best chance to win. If they're raising loose and big, just play tight and take the action back to them when you've got the nuts. Patience tends to be key in games like these.

i find the exact opposite in my area. home games are littered with old grindy types, and at the track all the sharks bet 15 and 20 all day at 1/2! Betting big preflop can pay big if you know how to follow it up. no matter the venue

If you have the best hand shove. Win a big pot. Depends if you value QQ's a monsters like I do. Half the time damn well know I'm going up against KK AA but usually at a fishy home game it'll be A-rag vs A-rag vs JJ vs 99. And the fish might win. But for sure in a tourney, shove the big hand and make a big pot. Play only 10% to 15% of your hands in a cash game. ;)

Its always good to know poker theory and all the different types of odds you can draw to but everyone else knows and uses them to some degree too. I'll assume most of the people at your home games are just casual/recreational players and have little to no experience with poker theory and odds, which explains the crazy raises and calls.
If a person has knowledge of poker odds and the btb way to play they will use that to their advantage. I see people doing it in ring games all day long, that is; simply making it so your odds are not right and you really shouldn't call if you want to play it safe or by the book. In fact more often than not, you will have the stronger hand but be denied the proper pot odds to call. You just have to trust your instincts and judgment.
I think your on the right track; play your strong hands aggressively and use your position to your advantage.

depending on the home game but some home games are an excuse for a night out with the guys... so really isnt about playing good poker but rather having a good time at it. then I been at some home games that are way too serious.. the whole night is about analying every hand.
