Which freerolls do you refer to? The Cardschat freerolls have a very good prize pool of 200$. The ones on 25$ are other forums which bring everyone. Password hunters should be prosecuted!!!

No, they shouldn't. We have enough problems with people trying to break into the freerolls as it is, without fulfilling the requirements, and we already have fifty thousand members anyway.

Most of the big poker sites aren't based in the US so they don't help the economy in any way. For example, pokerstars is run by a Jewish family, and the business is based on the Isle of Mann, where there are no corporate taxes ;)

I think there are plenty of people already and $200 is more then most sites actually start freerolls with.

if anything, online poker is much like lotto... you have a bit more control of your winning/losing than a scratch off ticket, but it's still ALL luck because of the way the games are setup. and much like the lotto... the economy isn't being helped or hurt by playing. it only gives some much needed hope to those of us trying to get by.

People will keep playing freerolls regardless of how much they pay out. They have the poker dream of going from something to nothing. Bigger payouts wont encourage more play I dont think.

I'm sure that, if you put up the money, dak and juice would be very happy to set up the games!

did you guys kno that full tilt public freeroll fills up and the waiting list fulls up in 30s im just amazed by this and im sure it wouldnt make a difference if they increase the prize pool. people willl continue to play as long as its free and theres a prize in the end.

I think the problem with this might be that it will also increase the activity of password thieves and other free loaders.

i don't think the post is about this site. i think he means poker sites in general. but the sites just like everyone else are cutting back in these hard times. you can't blame them. would i like to see bigger and better freerolls. HELL YA.

i miss the days before the UIGA, and the poker boom. but there are still some good freerolls out there. you just have to look harder.

Other than the ones sponsored by this excellent site, are any of the other freerolls really worth your time?

First, you are playing a huge field full of donks or players who have NOTHING invested in the game. The luck required to not be sucked out on is unreal.

Then, even if you do get through several hundred or thousand players after five or six hours of play, what do you win? $5 for first, maybe!?!

Your hourly rate is in the pennies. You would make more money begging for change or just looking for it on the ground. Furthermore, I doubt you can improve your skill set very much because of the level of competition.

Don't get me wrong, I used to love the Freerolls and would stalk the registration back when the FTP ones were smaller and would fill up in minutes, not a half hour. Now, I would rather just play a satellite for points or change, where 10% or more get paid something more worthwhile than $0.05 or $0.10.

If khicks has some suggestions one good ones, I'm all ears. I am curious about the bankroll Mob sponsored freerolls that seem to happen multiple times a day on FTP. They only give their PW out 15 minutes before the tourney and also have some sort of leader board thing. Anyone know anything about these?

What? Have you heard of the butterfly effect?
Anything that happens economically anywhere in the world effects the economies everywhere else!

If you were gonna make a case for free-rolls not effecting the economy, it would be because the small amount of money you win in a free-roll can't be used to purchase anything.

Well, most of the people here would agree than apart from some special freerolls some sponsors use when you CREATE an account and deposit.
These are the best.
