Got a single 24 inch monitor, 1900x1200 resolution. I can easily 12 table by tiling with a small overlap.

I have 2 35" Sony's that are amazing. I can 12 table and do work at the same time with them. My video cards are ATI 4870s connected with Crossfire, and they are awesome, no game or visualization can hold that bad boy down.

I have a 22' WS, and can probably fit 8 screens on it (12 with an overlap) but with 'not as good as they used to be' eyes, 6 tables is the most I can comfortably see.

I have the same setup. Perfect for me, 9 tables is the most I play.

17-inch laptop, up to 24 tables at a time. I don't tile. All tables are stacked directly on top of each other, nice and big so I can read all the stats. They pop up automatically when it's my turn to act. Doesn't anyone else do this? It doesn't require fancy hardware, and it makes it a lot easier to keep up with lots of tables.

I dont play more than 4 tables at a time. but i like to increase that number slowly. I have no idea about using multiple monitors etc. Where can i find a tutorial about it, how it works, what hardware, software do i need?

24 tabling either cascading/stacking on a 17" laptop is most definately the cheapest option imo, thats what I do :D.

I find the key is not having to move the mouse around much or having to move your visual focus. I think for me that using two monitors would be horrible; you'd have to be constantly scanning both of them, trying to determine if it's your turn. That's a big waste of time. You can see all you need to see all on one screen directly in front of you and have time to think, too, when you have a tough spot. Most spots aren't that tough.

A 17" laptop is more than sufficient. The only hard part is starting up the tables. Once they're going, you'd be surprised how easy it is to keep up and play reasonably well. I doubt people multitabling by tiling are noticing much more about their opponents than I do with stacking. Besides, you can always go back after the session and study your opponents. All the data is right there in your database. Watch what they do in the replayer; you'll learn a lot about people's tendencies.

I don't have the two monitors just for playing poker. I have them because it is really nice to have for getting work done. Usually I will have whatever software I am using for work on my left monitor and then I will have my email or some kind of material that I am reading off of on the right monitor. It makes it very nice because then you don't have to keep switching windows.

Also nice for gaming, when I do, because I can still have my email open and watch for anything important on one monitor while I game on the other.

I don't have time to do anything else while I'm playing poker. Getting a sip of my beverage is a challenge.

My dream monitor wouldn't be a monitor at all. Check out the 65" Panasonic flat-panel plasma.

I was just using a 32" LCD at a different location today.
That thing was Flippen Insane.
I can't imagine playing Hold em on such a Fantastic Screen.

I see that you all just like really cool systems, whether it's for poker or not. Now if you're talking something like flightsimming, I can see having 3 monitors set up like a cockpit. Now that would be nice.

I need a laptop and don't want to go over the top on expense. I definately need a 17". Was looking at the Dell 1720. Does anyone know if its a good multi table poker machine?
