What are the best preflop hands in no limit Texas Holdem Tourney play, starting with AA. top 30:confused:

According to Dennis Purdy the author of The Illustrated Guide to Texas Hold'em the relative win rates for all 169 possible starting hands are:

1. AA- 86.1%
2. KK-74.6%

According to Dennis Purdy the author of The Illustrated Guide to Texas Hold'em the relative win rates for the top 25 starting hands are:

note I only listed the 25/169, these number were derived from computer simulation of one million dealt hands. by the way the bottom hand is 6-2(U) with a win rate of .2%

I use betfair's Hold'Em or Fold'Em Tool, which tells you the relative strength of different starting hands, and suggests possible ways of betting on them:

it depends, if your jamming, calling from postion, on a tight table or a lag central.....remember your not just playing YOUR cards your playing with their perception of YOUR cards....

Agreed.

I would assume that the computer simulation is based purely on hole cards and having all five community cards presented.

The human element makes all the difference.

It is only ment to be a guide. You can win with 2-7 can be KK or even AA if it played agressive enough by the right person.
