Hey guys which poker site do you think overall is the best for players?

I know that pokerstars has probably the best promotion program, but the players are better than most sites. bodog's player promotions suck, but the players are a little more loose so you can make money by sitting. I've never really found too much I liked about Full Tilt. I'm asking because right now I am playing at bodog, but I was wondering about rooms not so big. Any good ones?

Thanks,

Pat

Where do you live, Pat ? It makes a big difference, because your choice is much wider if you are not in the USA.

I'm in the USA. I was a big fan of partypoker, but can't really play there anymore... :(

Egon I have a question. Is there a way to play European sites if I live in the states? Like can I open up a bank account offshore and do it? I would love to get back on PartyPoker.

I like pokerstars layout even though the players are a lot tougher than other sites. I really enjoy the fulltilt freerolls though.

Fulltilt and Pokerstars have the most traffic so most people will go there. If you want to go to a site that might be a little easier to build a bankroll then I would recommend Sportsbook or Bodog, but there is not as many people playing there like PS and Fulltilt.

It would be reasonably straightforward to disguise your point of origin by using a proxy or VPN service, and that would enable you to log on to a European site from which American IP addresses are banned. The problem would be opening a real money account and subsequently cashing out. Do you have any relatives or reliable friends overseas, whose postal address you could use ?

Being British, I have no experience of such dodges. Maybe one of the other American members can help you ? (By PM perhaps. We wouldn`t want to encourage law-breaking on the open forum, even if it is a dumb law. ;) )

By the way, apart from those sites already mentioned, there is the Merge Network. American players are allowed there. Cardschat has a current promotion involving Players Only on that network. Check out the message displayed on some of the forum pages.

Full Tilt is the best. They got rakeback and their new update rules.

Full Tilt for me. It just seems to be the most user friendly. Althouh admittedly the only other one I tried was PokerStars & I found it to be a nightmare. Which other easy to use ones woud you suggest?

Depends alot on what you want to play. If it's MTT's then I think PS is your best choice. They have lots to choose from anytime of the day with better blind structures than FT IMO.

If it's cash games then I think both FT and PS are pretty much equal. Both have good customre service and i dont worry about them with payouts or anything... goodluck

Lol, dumb argument!

I think its because FT has it all : loose players and tight and good players!
Has good promotions including Rush poker thing and tournaments!

EX:
For 0.10$ you can win up to 100$. (0.10$ Buy-in)
