If you're a low level tourney player, pokerstars has that dominated. Satellites to scores of events, large guaranteed fields, and qualifiers galore.

PokerStars & Full Tilt seem to be the best sites to start with. Lots of low limit games are offered, and frequent freerolls to help build your initial bankroll.

Depends what you're playing. For tournaments and SNG's I mostly play pokerstars and FTP. For cashgames I've found Cakepoker a good site to play...lots of donkeys(like myself).:D

I have always been a fan of full tilt poker,it offers freerolls like every hour.
They always seem to have satellite freerolls of somekind runnig around the clock.
The only downfall i've found with them verses pokerstars is the deposting.
poker stars seems to be easier to deposit money on.

PokerStars: Haves the best varity of games but no rackback(but if u play enough u can use the FTP as a form of rackback.
It also haves the biggest gurantees.
Best trafic around.
Also if your planing on playing the 1$ sng there rack is horrible(20-25%) but if your planing on playing higher the rack is fine.
Haves good low level ring games, lowest at 2NL.

FullTilt: Is the second biggest, you can get rackback but the low level rack is also terrible(20-25% in 1$ sng,and terrible at 10NL).
Lowest ring is 10NL but not worth playing ring on ftp until 25NL because of the rack.
Usualy haves some good promotions running.

Merge Network:Low trafic but soft play, rack is better at the low levels then at the big sites.

Everest: Good rack, decent trafic, gurantees sometimes have over lay and very soft play.

Other then that just check what sign up bonus are running at each site at a time and go from there.

Ultimatebet has alot of players that have been playing on that site for a long time. So I wouldn't start their especially if your going to play ring games. Try pokerstars.

poker stars is the best for cash play as they have micro tables where your allowed to bringas little as .20 cents to a table... full tilt is also a good site as you can play with certain pros as they will play lower limits

Full Tilt is great for freerolls, lots of private tourneys and nice sit N go's. Depositing there is a breeze for me when I can.

Their are over 600 poker sites online at this time, I would without a dought download, Pokerstars and Fulltilt, and learn what you like and dislike, those are the Giants!
Their are other sites that have a good amount of real money players playing also, to justify taking a chance with, but have smaller field of players in freerolls and buyin tournaments, wich at times can be a good thing.
When you do open up accounts I would like to add think about getting some type of rakeback..gl to you

I would suspect most sites are relatively equal. I like bodog, however, because their guarantee tournies rarely (if ever) get a full number of entrants. Great overlays.

I have never been a fan of Ultimate Bet. Are you planning on depositing money? Full tilt has the best freeroll system if not. But as far as the overall best my vote would go to Pokerstars hands down.

I would have to say full tilt, my reason why is because I think its easy to get around on that site I have been to other ones, but have a hard time finding certain games and so forth. Also full tilt does hold quite a few freerolls throughout the week.

pokerstars and fulltilt, by far. Pokerstars is probably the biggest site per people that play, and has many, many tournaments that start at all hours of the day. FullTilt had a lot of freerolls to help build your bankroll in the beginning, so you won't have to deposit any real money. A good way to learn before you start putting your own money out there.

Full Tilt and PokerStars are good.. both offer an huge variety of games.. I think people play a little more sane on ultimate bet though which isnt a bad site... a little less variety but less crazy all in poker..
