The best poker movie we've never heard of?

I just found this poker movie called The Grand which I don't even think I saw mentioned in the poker movie topic. It's such a great concept. They take a bunch of name actors (Woody Harrelson, Ray Romano, Jason Alexander, Werner Herzog, Gabe Kaplan, and others) They give them a character they are playing with a unique background, then actually had them play poker against each other at the final table (of some fake wsop main event thing) and just improv the whole thing. It also has a lot of cameos from real pros. Heres a trailer for anyone interested, I really wanna see this now.

Wow, I'd never heard of that movie before, either, but that looks fascinating. I'm going to have to look it up and watch it, regardless of cinematic merit, for the sole reason that it revolves around one of my favorite hobbies.

Wow, really? Nobody so far that has commented has seen it?
It's brilliant! You do need a bit of a warped sense of humour though.

Interesting fact: The movie only had about 30 pages of script, the rest was improv. So think Blair Witch meets WSOP.

A definite must see, my number 1 favourite poker movie... :)

It's actually pretty good. I was impressed they played the final table for real too.

Wild--to me this ranks among the classics, in the comedy department at least. And I thought everyone knew about it. :D Enjoy!

i actually caught the grand on showtime i think it was randomly, like half way thru...i had no idea wat it was and had never heard of it, but couldnt stop watching it cuz it was so funny...its really dry humor, so if thats not ur thing then u'r gona b like wtf, but i found it hilarious...i had no idea it was all improv, that makes so much sense because a lot of it seemed really ridiculous lol...i definitely liked it tho, awesome comedy
