I've watched bigger tourneys online and I've noticed a few players being at the end of these. 2 of these are players with the name Pipedream17 and Lukethefluke. Who do you guys think are the best that no one has "heard" of?

Pipedream is Michael Dietrich.
Pretty sure he's not an unknown though.
Last I checked (while a friend was on same table in an MTT) back in Sept.2012 he had over 21,000 tournaments played 'just' on Stars (no doubt there's thousands on other sites as well) & had an ROI of +79% with an avg. buyin of $100 with over $1.67 million in 'profit'.
He's also got ~ 1/2 million in live tourney cashes.

I occasionally watch the Super Tuesday on Stars, the Sun500 & the $640 buyin on Sunday on FTP. There's dozens upon dozens of REALLY GOOD players in those fields.

I am thinking that player is probable me. No doubt there are many as good as me, but you have heard of them already. And also I just reached the o wow I'm pro level , so that explains why you have not heard of me yet.

There are a lot of players that are great players but are not well know. In many cases they make and are better then a lot of the well know pros. Some of the best players in the world are those that play extremely high stakes cash games and most of these players are not well known to the public.

The fallacy of this thread is that anyone's name who crops up is going to be noticed and henceforth can't be the best unknown player.

However there is this one guy... he's a friggen amazing player but you won't find his name in any noticeable places that keep track of poker achievements, I believe his screen name is loafes . Keep an eye put for him, he's probably going to be a multi millionaire within the next few years, not to mention a number of wsop bracelets.

Cant accept railbirds I'm afraid, otherwise I'll end up getting swamped by the inevitable build up of a huge fanbase. Then I'll never play my a game :D

Yes, indeed!

You live in Georgia. Have you ever run into peachymer by any chance?

Very odd to accept a position as a pokerstars Pro if you wish to protect your privacy.

There is a really good Omaha player that no one has heard of. Vinny Fuhring. He usually plays online and high stakes. He has been killing it lately and makes lot of money. I have no idea how he got so good. I think he is just a natual born poker killer.

I also think sauce123 and also luckychewy are fantastic players. But they both have a little bit of fame. In general, I think there are several internet poker players that are very good and do not get much publicity. Internet poker players get considerable less media coverage compared to live players and so they can be very good, win over a million dollars, and be unknown.
