I was watching a Speed Poker Tournament on TV a few nights ago, and for the first time I watch one player get dealt A,A and two other players get dealt K,K each. So they all obviously are quite pleased with their hands preflop.

They all end up going All-In and flip their cards over.

A,A holds out, the A,A player triples up, and the two K,Ks split the remaining pot because they had more chips than the A,A player to begin with.

Unheard of hand if I've ever seen one.

It was the best place to be in a tournament if you are going to lose with K,K and be against 2 other players All-In.

Having more chips than the A,A player so you were still in the game and splitting with the other K,K.

What are the odds of that happening?

Cheers,

I have had AA against 2 pocket kings before, it was actually the first hand of a MTT so they were both out. I bet they were not happy. I was trying to figure out how to get all my chips in but I never had to bet or raise, lol.

What Gets me, is when you have a good pair such as AA or KK and you're up against the same pair all-in, and the other guy pulls out the flush. Damn odds. . .I've got to stop thinking like Matusow...
