IMO, if you're into cash games, try the 2c/4c ring games, or if you're a tourney player, The Ferguson or the Daily Dollar are good for maximizing your investment as there is no rake on these games. If you prefer SNG's, most would advise $1 tables, but with a .25c rake, you are losing 1/4 of your buyin on top. I'd advise the $2 SNG's (9 handed). The rake is the same as the $1 games, but game for game, you are losing less to rake and winning more when you (hopefully) cash.

I came back from my last $10 a few months ago by playing the Ferguson, and $2 SNG's. I never made it to $500, but I also havn't had to re-deposit either. Hope this helps.

You have a few options. 1) Micro Ring Games. Lets be honest. Everyone that plays these eventually gets on the bad end of things and complains about losing their buy in to an extremely cold decked hand and tilts the rest away, or so it would seem. 2) STT SnG's. $1.25 Non-turbo. Play some good poker and make some money here. Smaller variance than in a tourney. 3) MTT, Daily Dollar, Ferguson, $1ament. Too much variance for this to be good. I look at statistics a lot and getting a big score or something decent out of 10 shots isn't in your favour no matter how good you are. *Also you can play the $1K rebuy for a .10c buy in. 4) .50c + .10c Rebuy Sats to DD / Miniftops events. If you are willing to buy into a $1 MTT, you can buy into these for $1.60 and you got a good shot.

Fulltilt now has a 30 cent, 9 handed sit and go (25 cent buy in, 5 cents to the rake). It is a satellite to the daily double (therefore only available from midnight to start of daily double each day). The first 2 places get you the buy in, then the third place pays 25cents. I find this is really good value for building up your bankroll from something small. You are making very small profit obviously, but you are investing extremely little. You can unregister from the tournament when you do win the entry, and then you get $1 back in tournament dollars. I then use that to enter more of the 30 cent sit and gos. My plan is to get my tournament dollars up to about 25, then start using them in the $1.25, or $2.25 sit and go's, which will then pay money back into my real account instead of the tournament dollars.

So far I won on my first 2 of these, and I have not had to dip back into real money yet, as I just keep using buyins from my tournament dollar wins. third place supplements my real money account too when I place there. Was up to $5 tournament dollars at the start of this week, but have had a really bad run and am now down to only a couple.
