Just curious as to who you guys think is the best heads up poker player. I know it's a hard thing to judge, but give a guy and a reason. I'm going to go out on a limb and go with the 2006 wsop Main Event Runner Up Paul Wasicka. He lost to Gold HU considering the chip advantage was insane, but did win the NBC Heads Up Championship. Also he made it pretty deep at the WSOP Heads Up Event finishing 9th I think. Watched him during the NBC coverage and he really has a smart HU game. Doesn't get involved with anything stupid, and tends to play majority of situations very smart not risking too many chips at a time (keeping the pots small).

I watched some of his NBC HU Championship. He was a very good player, it was pretty funny about who got to the final four. I believe Wasicka, Brown, Elizabeth, and someone else. Leaving the big pro's out.

There is not enough competition in HU poker to see who is the best, in my opinion. I like that WSOP has an event, can't wait to watch.

yea Chad Brown not a pro player LOL, he was only bluff player of the year, has been to numerious final tables. He just dosent go after the media attention but he is far far far far from a unknown in the poker world.

Chad Brown is nasty... and he has a pretty solid HU game as well, to go along with short handed play. Watched his HU vs Gavin Smith... guy caught everything and Smith was just annoyed to the breaking point.

I know Chad Brown is pro. You ask just an average player and he may or may not know of him though.

actully the average player would know exactly who you are talking about or anyone that follows poker would. It would be the people that just casually play that dont know him. Anyone connected in the poker world, or reads a magazine or anything like that would know him real well. There are some pro's I would rather sit with, ones like you said everyone knows then Chad Brown.

In a HU match, Todd Brunson is awful tough.
