It's usually never a good idea to play while sleepy or distracted. If you like a particular tournament that runs at a scheduled time, you can either boost up with coffee, or even better, take a small power nap a bit before tourney start and that'll help you keep some energy and focus through the game.

Or, just have some discipline and foresight and not enter a tourney if you know you're going to be drowsy in an hour. Play earlier or not at all.

the power nap works for me, although sometimes the powernap becomes a power coma and I miss the whole tournament.

Starting a tournament when already tired is a very bad idea.
To many times I started a tournament and during play thought to myself.....the hell with it....I'm going to sitout and sleep.....very EV-

When I become tired while playing a tournament and play consecutive tournaments that I planned on playing I usually have problems. So if I get tired in the middle of a tournament I just unregister for any tournaments that I have scheduled and get some rest.

I would most likely not play when really tired or not in a positive mind set. Playing for hours you are not getting the best you can give.

you should try to play relaxed tournaments, without worrying about work or hours ...
try to play in their spare time, where nothing will compromise you .. this is fundamental to miss as little as possible

I Think that if you have a schedule and at the end of it you are sleeply and less focused you shouldn't take risks.
You can program your week by days. If you have time you can make different schedules for diferent days, so you can play the tourneys you want.

It is not a good idea to play when you are tired or sleepy. You cant focusand end uo making bad decisions. You should check the schedule the day before and choose those mtts that are good for you depending on your local time. If you are planning on grinding for many hours coffee is always helpful. If you are friends with another online poker player you can play from the same place too since talking with each other will keep you awake.

You dont have to schedule play. But make sure you are not going to be distracted or have to rush when you start a session.

I have good luck when I am sleepy.

You want got to sleep and just want to get out of the tournament. You have to play it right or they wo'nt play with you. What I do is adjust my position on the couch, get a coffee, move to bedroom, and snooze during the beak time. It seems like its murphy's law everything that can go wrong will go wrong.

always scheduling your tourneys.first you got to make a good search of the types of tourneys existing(buy ins, blinds, prizes, amount of players) then play some, decide who you like and then you schedule playing only them with few exceptions for tourneys are not daily.thats my advice.another advice which i unfortunately dont follow is try playing in one poker room at a time and even schedule your poker rooms.like i said,i dont follow but i think is useful advice
