Hi guys, been away from Poker for quite sometime but I'm back, baby!

Now building up my BR thru Micro on PS thru 360 seats .10cents BI tourneys.

Talking about a slow grind.

So, what's up with the Poker World - besides FTP going bust and any books to recommend for a tourney player like me?

Thanks!

Its hard to make suggestions without knowing what you've already read. As a general rule of thumb I would recommend Phil Gordon's Little Green and Little Blue books. They're great for players of any level and extremely readable--a trait which is hard to come by in poker books. He also just released his Little Gold book which is supposedly excellent and more advanced if you've already read the other two.

If your looking for books that are tournament specific than you can't go wrong with Harrington on Holdem'. Its a 3 book set and will give you more than enough material to study.

Beyond this just read Cardschat. Its a great resource and 100% free!

Thanks, guys!

I'm in the process of reading Jonathan Little at the moment.

I can't remember whether I have read Gordon's books - but I've certainly read Harrington sometime back and yeah, that's a great series to build foundation on.

How's the online poker scene lately (particularly pokerstars say micro and small + mid stakes)? Really curious with FTP's demise how things are working out for the online poker world and generally how things are looking for the world economy. (more fish? less?)
