Partially - re: all of the poker scenes where the cash game is filmed, yes, precisely... minus the dirty jokes ;-)
Beyond that, there are lots of segments where the players simply hang out together away from the table. Episode 1, for instance showcases them all on a private jet heading from Vegas to Turning Stone Casino in NY where the show is filmed...you'll see how they yack it up, gamble, and in general have a great time together.
Imagine you and your local home game did a whole bunch of other stuff, like bowling, golf, etc altogether... so yeah, the cordial home game atmosphere, and with a "cast" of some very funny, entertaining people who make watching it very interesting.
Very different from any other poker show every filmed. The goal is specifically to entertain the people watching.
