You will get answer on that question when you start to play higher buy-ins tournaments.
I would say that you are playing wrong tournaments, just like me.
freerolls, small buy-ins MTT and SNG, satellites and so on. I have so far mostly played exactly these tournaments and only because of my Bank Roll. When I got the chance to play first serious tournament, I think for me a serious tournament "The Big $16.50", I enjoyed the game. You can find a "kamikaze" there also but they are everywhere and even in live tournaments with a $5,000 buy-in.
I watched on TV. Man gets up from the table and go away to do a few moves of karate to be as stretched and returned to the table and says All-in, without having even looked at the cards. Of course there was also plenty of whiskey, so you could imagine what they drink while they play at home.
After The Big $ 16.50, where I made $38 my biggest score so far, when I returned to these tournaments, I realized that I can only spoil my game, my hard-gained knowledge, and lose all the hair on my head because of the bad beatings by kamikazes.
When I see 3 or 4 players to go all-in I will fold AA if I'm not in move for flip coin. I know that many players will not agree with me for that move but I read about that on PokerSchoolOnline.com and they have right for that move. Leave them to fight each other at the start and wait to clean up the field of kamikaze for a normal game.
I should make Bank Roll for medium buy-ins if I want to make any progress in my play. One or two max low or medium buy-in during the week and the rest of the time to learn and improve my game.
