So I heard the Chris Ferguson interview about bankroll management, and I'm currently putting into practice on Noble Poker. Started with the free 5 bucks and at the start of today I'm sitting at 17$... all i've played are 6 man 1$ sng's...today has been horrible on the LUCK side of things, but I havent taken that huge of a hit to my bankroll. I mean these fish in these tourneys will go all-in or call an all-in on ANY kind of draw, it's really unbelievable, and for the most part they've hit their 2-3 outers on me all day. Now I'd probably be broke if not for the bankroll management, so there's still hope. The 5% of your bankroll in play at any time is great advice, I think everyone should use it. You should see some of the plays I've seen in these tourneys. My little sister who has never played could play better than these guys. Honestly.

Because my computer is so old, I can't listen to the interview, so was just wondering how he managed his bankroll. Do you divide it by 20 and play the SnG's that that equates to, or what? I read a thread on here a while back (can't remember where it is now!) that said you need 20 times your current SnG buy-in, plus one of the next level's buy in, before you move up to that level. That makes sense to me, just wondered if it was the same?

Im a little bit more precatious, what i do is, i play in a sit n go lvl until I make 100 buy ins. Then i move.

For example i played the 10+1 sit n goes until i had 1100, then i moved to the 20 sit n goes ^_^

KerouacsDog:
Chris says to buy-in for no more than 5% of your bankroll, and when you have 10% of your bankroll on the table to wait until your BB and quit.
Now if I only knew %'s I might be in business.
