Okay I want your guys opinions on this.

If I want to play .50/1 limit tables.

1) How much should I have in my bankroll
2) How much should I take to each table

While I'm here can I also have your thoughts on playing multiple tables at a time?

I'm not one to listen to about this as i've never maintained a bankroll for more than a month, but
i've heard you are supposed to bring 200-400 times the BB to your table and about how much in your actual bankroll, I'm about as clueless as ... well as clueless as I am with figuring out a good analogy :D....:(

Yeah Chuck, I've heard that too...sound advice!

As far as playing multiple tables; I myself don't like it...too distracting, and you can't get a feel for the other players at the table. I like to watch and see what they raise with, call with, what bets/raises they will fold with. You might not be able to see any tells, but you can still get a read on them none-the-less. That way you can adjust your game accordingly; some tables you can get away with bluffing a little more, some you have to play more tightly, etc.

200 bucks gives you 4 50 dollar "racks" as I call them at .5/1 which should be plenty to cover any swings at online limit tables. BTW Where you planning on playing? I personally don't play multi-tables very much I wouldn't recomend it unless you are VERY comfortable with your game and have NO distractions when you are playing.

Gonna play at party poker. Just building a bankroll at Absolute at the moment, so could be a while to tell the truth.

So you say I should aim for a starting bankroll of 200 dollars?

Heyya,

I beleive the way it goes is to have 200/300 times the big blind for your roll and to cap each session at 30x the BB. Annie Duke, who was taught by The Proffesor Lederer said this was the most important thing he ever taught her. Never lose more than 30X the BB per session.

If you want a link to the site/article check out a thread I started called When to stop. The article is in the first reply I got.

a) $300 would be a good number, generally 300x the BB is the recommended starting point, although 200x the BB can work too.

b) Usually 25x the BB, or in your case $25.
