Well i personally like full tilt. Haven't tried ultimatebet, but fulltilt is pretty well organized and has a very good support. One thing not so good about full tilt, is that the rake is expensivier (at least it's what i've been told).

make an account on Stars, the rake is lower apparently for games like 10NL.
and UB is known as a scandal website, atleast there have been cheaters caught, but at the lower stakes it's probably not an issue.

I would say fulltilt just because we have two games a week there . a friday night variety game with $150 added and a hold em game on sunday with $200 added to the prize pool , both are $5 buy ins .

we have a $5 buy in game at ub too w/$100 added on monday night , and a $1-$3 game at pokerstars w/$100 added on sunday afternoon . plus many more great games at many other sites .
please read up on the bankroll management threads , they will be very important to maintain a BR , esp while you get your 15 posts required to play our buy ins . good luck :)

Fulltilt cause they have the one click deposit thingy which makes it extra fast and other sites don't have that so that's why Fulltilt is the best poker site there is!!!!!!!

register for the ofc event first (@FT) and play the $5 buyin- if you have deposited in previous 4 weeks (approx?) to it you get $10 free!!

(so you get entry to a freeroll, a $5 buyin and $4.50 free!)

you also get entry to new depositors freeroll ($10k if i remember rightly) and bonus too...

rewards system far better than UBs and prefer the tables and tournaments too

No question FT!!

I would def choose stars since with a low bankroll of $25 you can really grind and get that up with the small buyin events that stars offer. You can play the 10 cent sngs or the nickel sngs. Or if you rather not do that you can start at the $1 buyins which I dont recommend doing

Valid point above in regards to Pokerstars having more super micro buyins to play in.. BUT (a big BUT) they are sooooo fishy that it is pathetic. Even Pokerstars buyins up to the $10 level are really bad (although the $10's aren't really bad). Sng's or MTT's at $3 & under on Pokerstars are soooooo bad that they might have you tossing your computer out the window.
My honest opinion,.. be prepared to put down a bigger deposit (I would suggest a minimum of $200,.. preferably more like $500, if you're actually hoping to build a roll on the site) so that you can be rolled to play on some tables with some decent play on them.
When I started out I chose to deposit $175 on Fulltilt & $150 on Pokerstars. It wasn't nearly enough because I was stuck grinding the micros for too long (personally I would never play a buyin for more than 2% of my roll, unless I managed to satellite up into something bigger).
I got kinda lucky on my first night on Fulltilt and took 2nd in the Ferguson for $114 so this helped out a bit but still kept me in the cheapies. I also managed to score a few hundred from private freerolls which also helped out a bunch.
If I had it to do over again,.. I'd deposit more in the first place and then go get my hands on a few good poker books and try to specialize in one particular game (ie. sngs or mtts, or cashtables). I chose a bit of all of the above, lol. For example,.. if it's sngs you want to take a shot at,... try reading Collin Moshmann's SNG book and then stick to the 9plyr. tables and just keep working away on it. I made the mistake of jumping from 9 to 18 to 45plyr games,... which was fun, enjoyable, etc.,.. but wasn't really a 'winning' proposition for me.
Since specializing in one form of poker at a time, my results have come around considerably (be it mtt, sng or what have you). Make one decent-sized deposit,.. find your niche and stick with it for awhile and you'll never have to deposit again (at least I'm assuming that might be one's goals... it was my goal anyways).
I remember how I chose how much to deposit. I was playing on my girlfriend's Pogo account NLHE and was amassing the tokens there for her. I told myself, Okay,. if I can win 10 of 10 I will deposit $500, 9 of 10 - $400, 8 of 10 $300. I didn't really expect to win 8.. but I did, lol. I wouldn't suggest to follow this same method, lol.
