I have never really taken this aspect of the game seriously before as I usually just play recreational and depoist the minimum $50. Anyways, I have been playing SNG's and working on grinding my bankroll up. I was wondering how large of a bankroll should i have to play $7 SNGS. Thanks for any help.:)

I wouldn't want more then 5% in a tourney or a Sit and go.

thank you. so roughly $140-$150 would be properly rolled for it.

Ideally you only want SNGs/MTTs to be 2% of your bankroll, but whatever.

thats little too tight for my tastes but yea I guess that could be doable. I dont mind 5% though.

5% would be 20 sit and gos. Plus I would have enough control to drop in buy ins if I lost a couple.

It depends on the person and style of play. Personally, I prefer to play overrolled. That makes me much less scared of losing. I play $11 SNGs with an 1.3k roll.

Personally, my limit is 10% of my BR in a ring game and 5% in an STT or MTT. I`ve always been comfortable with that.

However, I know that Chris Ferguson, who is the acknowledged expert on BR management, advocates 5% and 2% respectively.
