Currently I'm backpacking in Indonesia and flying to Australia in roughly 4 days. Been trying to play some here on the free wifi spots on our hostels, but the connection here is incredibly slow so I often time out even before I get to see my holecards.

So what connection speed do you roughly need to be able to play and get some volume? Currently sitting on around 0.3 Mbit/s and apparently it's not working at all.

Also, if anyone knows: General prices on mobile broadband (refill cards, not subscriptions) in australia? And how long will they last if playing poker 3h/day and casually surfing the web?

Dunno exact prices, but mobile broadband cards will be obscene expensive here - worse than that though, they're also pretty unreliable because our mobile networks really aren't that fast and the coverage (even on Telstra, which has easily the most extensive network infrastructure if you're absolutely set on trying this) is spotty at best.

On the upside, you'll probably have better luck getting a decent wi-fi connection in a hotel or hostel here than you have been in Indonesia, so that's probably your best bet.
