Hi Everyone,
Im a new member here, i joined because none of my buddies like poker so i have to talk to someone right?
Ok, ive been playing NL holdem for 2 years now and i am not such a bad player (i think) ive just finished a 4 hour session at bluesquare poker and i just cant believe the awful standard of players at the lower limits!
Ive just been playing the 10/20 cent s&g and have been badly mauled by the most inept, flush chasin' gut shot merchants ive ever played against! THEY WOULD NOT LAY THEIR CARDS DOWN!
Has anyone else experienced this or am i mad?
Cheers, XXORLSXX.

Sounds like the best poker site on earth. Why would you not want to play against bad players? They make you money. Do you want to play against only good players who fold all the time or outplay you? Not much money in that.

Welcome to Cardschat

Yes its frustrating when up against non-folding fish, but unfortunatley there are lots of them around.

The key here is play tight and have patience, there will be days when they pay you off time and again and you will wish to play them every day. :)

Make the bets large enough for them to be unable to call or slow play them (play them at their own game, hit river flushes, straights etc).

Patience is the key - oh, and a bit of luck :D

Blue Square is part of the Ipoker Network, one of the biggest out there.

What you have experienced is nothing unusual. That is what online poker is often like in the micro limits.

As the others say, even though it can be annoying at times, it is easy money.

I apologize if I am wrong, but I think he knows that, and is why he said it. Seems like a weak attempt at spam to me, just trying to get people to join the site because all the players are "bad"

Spam huh? Hmmm. Interesting theory. Quite possible.

Honestly, I dislike playing against bad players. At micro limits they will chase each draw, and sometimes they hit. When that happens you will lose your bankroll and be frustrated. Also, playing against them does not improve your game IMO.

Not to mention that at micro stakes not money is to be made.

LOL! So you want to play against good players who can outplay you and correctly bet? LMAO.

If you lose your bankroll against bad players, then you need more practice until you lose less against them and win more. Poker is a game where true success comes long term. Losing a couple of hands to a donkey shouldn't matter. If you make the correct decisions, you will beat them in the long run.

I don't think it's a spam post just a post from a guy who is momentarily frustrated. Bad players abound all over the place. Sometimes they get lucky.:):)

Blue Square was launched in May 1999 and has fixed odds betting services on the Internet, Interactive TV, WAP and telephone. They were a wholly owned subsidiary of the Intercapital Group Ltd until January 2003 when it was acquired by Rank, one of the UK’s leading leisure and entertainment companies.
Don't think they need people to spam for them... :dontknow:

Blue Square is a part of playtech network

Funny you should bring it up, are also playing sitngoes at some different sites, and the players I think has the lowest standard are the playtech-network, are playing at a bit higher level than you, but the stats I get from sharkscope proves me right, I have the highest ROI (return of investment) on the playtech network.

Only two hours ago I played 3 sitngoes jakarta 10 cent on that network, won 1 2nd in another, and 5th in the third. But build a roll mate, good bankroll management and try for the 50 cent, then the dollar, and in a couple of months you are heading for bigger bucks. GL. Correction blue square is of course ipoker network, I call it playtech for some reason

Without bad players, there is little profit in poker. I simply wouldnt play, do you really want to play a chessmatch against a bunch of multitabling nits/rocks/pros?

Id rather not.

I cant believe anyone would think this is spam - if so, why aren't people who complain about pokerstars or Full Tilt spammers

I toally agree.

There seems to be a paranoia about spam on many web forums.

I was accused of spamming another forum and I asked the person that accused me how I could post my query without reference to the site I was querying!

I received no answer.

With regards to xxorlsxx post - as far as I'm concerened bring them on! I like to keep the pots small until I'm sure I've won then I'd take it from there....check-raise or all in or slowplay!

I am always intrigued how "good players" always seem to lose to "bad players" Did you ever consider that perhaps they are better than you think, and that you are the bad player?

bluesq poker.

Hi all and thanks for your feedback and comments, i'd just like to clear up a couple of things here, i'm not spamming for BSQ im a member of UB, PP,
AP, PP and other sites i just found BSQ the most frustrating to turn a profit.
I would also like to respond to Vectorvega's comment, do you consider player who calls a raise and then a reraise with 8, 10 o/s a good player?
or a guy who go's all in waiting for a gutshot draw? I played there for 4 hours and im usually ahead on this length of session, im gonna play today so i'll let you know how i get on.....Good Hunting...

Do you not find it easy to fold your hand when you know the fish has hit the draw?
If not then I think you need a lesson in disipline. :)

It really depends on the actual situation..ie tournament vs cash game, size of the raises relative to the chip stack, point of time in the tournament, callers chip stack vs the raisers' chip stacks, etc.
