Hey Everyone,

Am sure we have all had our fair share of bad beats, but am sure we all have a hand full of bad beats that we remember, that don't let us sleep well at night, or even make us change our play at the tables.

Here is one of my worst bad beats.

1) I am in Mid-Position, and I have a nice hand As Qd... so I raise three times the blind... and it goes all around to the big blind who calls... so I figure he might be defending this blinds, or he had a big hand as well...

the flop comes:

Ad 7c 8c

So he checks, and I raise the pot size... he calls...

Turn: 9h

Again I raise, this time half the pot... and he just calls

the river: Qh

So I raise again, this time enough to put him all in... and he calls...
he turns over Js 10s

to beat my two pair with his straight...

the worst part is, how could he call my big pre-flop raise, and every other raise after... it was purely insane in his part... and he got lucky, but players like that are what I watch out for... because they play any old hand and get lucky against a strong starting hand.

Love to hear some of your bad beat stories.

Here's a bad beat story for you, this happened to my friend while i was next to him. limit game $25/50 my friend got pocket 10s, flop is 10,10,Q, both reraise to max, next card is 8 again same round of betting, so basically my friend has no chips by now and pot is a little bit over $1000. Next card is Q. My friend loses, to Quad Qs he had Quad 10s. to make this worse, this was NOT the bad beat jackpot! if it would have been bad beat table, he'd get 120K it registred 40% of jackpot, total was about 300k or something. Now thats a bad beat :)

Alot of people will call a big raise with JT, especially suited. I'm not saying it's a good play, I'm just saying alot of people do it. The best drawing hand in poker, they call it.

Don't mean to poke fun, but you can tell the amount of poker someone has played by A) The type of bad beat story they complain about, and then B) The amount of bad beat stories they still talk about. It's poker and it's still gambling. It happens, and it will continue to happen. Fortunatelly (or unfortunatelly?) you grow pretty numb to it. Doesn't mean you don't get upset when it happens, but the energy to regurgitate the story is just no longer worth the effort. It's poker.

That now is not really all that bad. I swear, there's only 3 BB's that come to my mind really.

1) This one actually makes me laugh inside also.

I have A/5s, and just limp on the button with it, anyways, SB fold, BB flats
Flop 555, I check he bets, I tank and reraise, he tanks, and rerereraises, I push, he calls, he flips over 10s for a boat (I'm like nice, lol), turn and river, both 10s happened in a FR on UB

2nd) This one hurt alot, cuz it cost me close to 600 it happend on party poker, I had AA in the hole, and I bumped it on a 1/2 table to about 10ish, and SB calls, and everyone fold, flop was redonkulous (I swear I loved that flop) A/10/10, I flopped the boat, anyways, I donk bet 13ish and he rereriased to about 50ish, I rerebumped to 200ish, and eventually it all went in, anyways, he flipped over 10/3o, and rivers the case 10.

3rd) I don't quite recall the betting in it, but it happend sometime ago on stars, anyways, all I recall was there were 3 of us and we all flopped a set, and one of our sets turned into quads, which lead me for going broke, even though, I had the bottom of all the sets, lol.

And those are all my Worst BB's

Well, JTs is 40% and AQo, so he's getting odds to call your small pre-flop raise. He only needs to put in 2 more big blinds to call a pot of 9; that's way better than 40%. I think his only mistake was calling your pot sized flop bet after he checked, but he must have been excited to have a gut shot straight draw. Then his draw hit on the turn and you were dead. Too bad you got a Q on the river to get excited about.
