ok so we got there about 4pm Monday afternoon and headed straight to the roulette table at the Taj. Let me start off and saying Chuck is a amazing roulette player, for some reason he hits alot. Ok so we get to the table and I buy $50 in chips and Chuck buys $100. I spread my $10 and chuck spreads about $40 or so, the ball is going round and round and Chuck throws $10 on 8 because there is nothing on it for the hell of it and guess what.....BOOOOM 8 hits for +$320 or so for him. I'm like no freaking way, we play a couple more spins and he throws $20 on some other number and I follow suit and throw $3 on his number and guess what he hits again for +$640, he left up like $900 and I went up $50 or so.

enough of all that junk lets get to poker, we started off sitting at 3/6 limit. I got AA two times in like 1st hour or so and they held up both times. Then my big hands started to get cracked over and over and I was down about $50 which made me even for day so far. I was getting bored as hell at that game so had Chuck see if there were any 1/2 NL tables open and there was right next to it. Well we went and sat at that table and there was this dude with like over 1 grand at the table. At a $300 max buy-in that is amazing. I just folded and folded got my stack down to about $120 or so and got JJ. Dude raised me like $20 and I came back over the top to about $45 and he called. Before flop came down I announced I was all in for my last $39 at the table. He called pre-flop and showed AQ. Board didnt help him and I doubled up. I was now about even again and Chuck and I played a little bit more roulette and joined a $80 sit and go.

It payed out top 2 spots and I went out like 5th, Chuck took 3rd and guys payed him $80 anyway to be nice. The 2 players that got 1st and 2nd were horrible players. When they were done I told Chuck lets go play some 1/2 again, we sat at this table and away we went again. I bought in for $200 and Chuck for about $300. Things went normal for about a couple hours and I just maintained my stack UNTIL.

I had QQ and made standard raise to $25, yes that is a standard raise in a 1/2 game live. whoever said 5x is standard I don't know but in these games raises were normally $15-$25 preflop. Well guy in late position called me and then another guy made it $100 preflop. So I mucked my QQ and other guy folded and I told guy I just mucked QQ and he was like NO YOU DIDN'T. I was like yes I did and he was like I had KK. I tend to believe him. Then I went on a rush getting AA,AK back to back and made about $100 on those hands. So at this point I was up to about $300.

Now here is the big hand of the night, had 77 which is my lucky hand, I have made alot of money of 77 and I almost always run it. Guy made normal like $15-$20 raise preflop so I call, flop comes down J75, bingo right? The board was safe so I went ahead and checked it. Guy made a normal like $45 bet an I re-raised another like $50 or so and he pushed all in? Now JJ worried me but I don't see how I could possibly fold this. I called and said " you got JJ?" and he said no and I said then I got you. He said he has 55, turn and river no help for him and my stack goes to about $600. After that I went up and down between $600-$700 and cashed out around $690. Chuck had terrible poker day but thanks to roulette he came up about $900 and I came up almost $500.

All in all a great day for both of us and my reads were amazing, I was calling out peoples hands left and right and had people actually asking me if they played their hand right or if they should of pushed or not. I was able to single out the weak players and stack the bad players. Both players that won that sit and go with Chuck played with us and I took like over $100 from one of them. I will be going back in couple weeks with my wife and unfortantly I will have to play some limit with her but im willing to for her.

If you want to really make a killing go play 1/2 at the House of Blues next door. You'll face a few more suckouts than normal but the stream of fish make up for it.

ok

so seems like I will be up there in about a month exactly with Christina and need to make $300 for her to lose....I mean play with. Need $500 all together $100 for hotel, $300 for her and $100 for Kyle's Karate. So looks like I will need to hit up some overtime this month.

Yes I have enough for all that in my poker bankroll but I don't like touching that, I like to see that as money I don't own that is only to be used at the tables. I'm actually very impressed with how my wife plays, now she is not a poker player but will play when I go for me. The one GIANT hole in her game is her lack of aggression, she will not bet her big hands and gets outdrawn alot but of course she is playing 2/4 limit so everyone gets outdrawn alot. I will play a couple hours with her at 2/4 limit until she is ready to quit then I will go to normal 1/2 NL game.

I'm bankrolling her for $300 which should be fine for 2/4 limit for day.

Taj and Borgata are my homes in Atlantic City, they are really only 2 places I play and actually TAJ has a ton of bad players.

its the most talked about Casino so everyone wants to play there, its in rounders and the US poker championship is held there. I pretty much was able to pick out the weak players right away and take advantage of them right away. I was able to stack this guy with my JJ, good thing Chuck folded or I might of stacked him also.

had JJ and the weak player bet into me on a Ten high flop and I was like saying to myself outloud "I got you, I got you" knowing he had the ten. My Buddie looked at me for a second and mucked his ten, and I asked weak player how much he had left to which he said $50. I put him all in and guy actually said something like "I know you got me beat......CALL" he flipped JT and didn't improve. That is just funny you know your beat and call of your whole stack anyway. I cant even remember how many times he bought in, lost count.

Its not like Chuck and I play together but we are also not trying to get involved too much together. I cracked his AA once and took him for a little bit but not much, I hate playing big pots with him because we are there to win money off other players. If we want to just take eachothers rolls we can do that at home (rounders quote there).

The Taj always has alot of drunks there when I play. Maybe I need to go there at a different time. I've had my QQ and AA rivered by goofs the last two times I've played 1/2 there.

Glad you and Chuck had a good time though. I'll probably be down there March 9-11.

Wow...y'know you coulda left a note in my pocket or something to remind me where I've been the last few days. I don't remember any of this. Also, if you could send me those winnings which I take it I left with you, that'd be great.

Sounds like a good time. I need to get Chuck's strategy on Roulette. I sometimes win a little bit but more often then not I end up throwing away my money in seconds. That's why I try and stick to Poker.

Very nice run Stormswa. Sounds like a great time overall.

Here is Chuck's roulette strategy...put money down on a random number and hope it comes up. Get lucky a couple of times then move on to a game there you can control (like poker or even blackjack). :)

welp

heading back to Atlantic City Sunday to spend night so stay tuned for another one of these Monday afternoon. This time the my wife is coming. I told her I wanted to go and I wanted her to come with me but she said I hadn't worked the extra hours to make the money for her to spend so I told her she could use my bankroll. I know im such a great husband, in otherwards I want to go and its pretty much only way I could get to.....

I will have to play a couple hours of 2/4 with her which I dread but oh well, also will have to make the money back at 1/2 nl which she is going to lose at 2/4. The sacrifices I make for my wife......

yes

no it would be great because then I could put it back in my bankroll, but I seriously doubt she will, she is already expecting to lose. BUT as long as she has fun with me I could care less, it is well worth the $300 I will be giving her. Just means I will have to spend a week or so making the $300 back at work through overtime, unless of course I have great sitting again at 1/2 nl. Well if anyone is around that area and wants to meet up let me know.
