We go up once a year and stay at the Tropicana. There poker rate during the weekdays in January is only $55 or so. You have to average a minimum of 4 hours per day to keep this rate. I enjoy this casino plus youre within a 10 minute drive to any of the other Casino's. Goodluck

I usually play at the Tropicana, not a bad place to play w/ some decent poker games.

The Borgata is also fun, with actually attractive waitresses and a younger crowd.

The Taj is the Taj. You'll have dirt under your fingernails for days after playing there and the chips are gonna stick together, but the action is very loose and wild if you can handle it.

It can be pretty expensive to stay at the casinos in Winter around the holidays. I would look for some stand alone hotel room or find a place in one of the surrounding towns like Abescon. If you don't mind paying for the cab and being a little farther away its a good deal...you probably wont spend much time in the room anyway.

Cheapest places to stay are just out of town on the White Horse Pike Rt 30.
My favorite poker room is the Showboat. Craziest room is the Taj. And the best looking is the Borgata.

I aslo like the Taj, as listed above there is a lot of action and loose players, but it can be expensive... the Borgata is beautiful, but im not a big fan of the poker rooms there... I've made a lot at Tropicana, but 90% of the time i play at the Taj... good luck maybe i'll see u there

Look on line to find the best deals on a place to stay. Be careful picking non casino hotels. Some of the cheaper ones are in bad areas. I highly recommend getting the best deal at a casino you can find and stay there.
Are you looking for a tournament or cash games? I don't play cash games so I can only tell you about tournaments. I have played at Borgata, The Taj, Showboat, Ballys and the Hilton. The Bogata has the best players. The Friday $300 tournament is a lot fun and during the summer the prize pool would get to $100,000. The Showboat $65 game is a good mix of weak and Ok players. Ballys $50 game is the weakest I played. I also like the Taj.
I like staying at Showboat and Harrah's but stay at the new tower the rooms are much better. Caesars remodeled this year and all the rooms I stayed in were great. Borgata had the best structured tounaments.

Showboat remodeled their poker room and it's now downstairs in an open area, but is still a nice place to play.

As mentioned above, if you play at the Taj you'll need to dip your hands in some bleach afterwards.

Rt 30 Abesecon i has the least expensive rooms. I like the Knights Inn. Trop poker room is great and have poker rates if u play regular and long, Borgata is the Borgata, nice acutally. Word on the Taj is the staff is rude, but I never played there.
Peace and GL,
FLOW
