Opinions on Daniels "Power hold 'em strategy" book? Also, any good books that has helped your game? I was considering super system for the obvious hype behind it but I have read that the book is pretty out dated and around a third of its pages are dedicated to situations Doyle had been in. I was also considering "Harrington on hold 'em" and "The theory of poker"; although the theory of poker covers a few more games than just hold 'em and I'm not so sure if it would be applicable. Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated.

I havent read "Power hold 'em strategy"..
Anyway "Polished poker" by John Anhalt is a good book that helped me to better understand poker. And it has a workbook with tasks and questions.

I have not read any books about poker unfortunately. I play poker just 3 months. Basically, I look at the video and learn poker school))) I hope I can find the time to read any Russian-language books about poker. Because I want to improve my level of play.

Hi. Thanks for the post. I've never read any poker books, but I have a friend who has read like every book about texas hold'em and one thing I can say is that he consistently wins when he plays live tables and he is constantly cashing out from online play. I'm pretty sure all the books he's read has helped him out in that way. Just wanted to say I'm thinking about asking him for a recommendation on one of his favorite books that he believes made a difference in his game. I'll share the name of the book on here. Thank you.

Two books that really helped a lot me when I first read them are; Phil Gordon's Little Green Book and Little Blue Book. Both of those books really helped me improve my game back when I first read them. And obviously there are the essentials; Doyle Brunson's Super System by Doyle Brunson, Caro's Book of poker tells by Mike Caro, Harrington on Hold'em by Dan Harrington, and probbaly the most important one of all The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky

Phil Gordon's little green book is a great place to start. It is an easy read and very informative.
