Apple Creates Restrictions Applications For Real Money on the App Store.
Apple made changes to its rules for apps gambling real money
on the App Store.
According to the website MacRumors, the new rules require that any applications that allow real money stakes are free, and forbids all kinds of sales within the application (the famous In-App Purchases, or IAP).
These are excerpts from the rules mentioning gambling:
"20.5 Apps that offer real money gambling (sports betting, poker, casino, horse racing) must have the licenses and permissions required where the app is used, should be restricted to these sites, and should be free in the App Store.
20.6 Apps that use IAP to purchase credits or money to use with real money games will be rejected. "
The new rules should not affect Apps poker already in the App Store, as none of them works with the models mentioned. After all, the 30% share of Apple in sales within applications are unacceptable for any online poker room.
