Im thinking of playin in this 2day event. It's the Amateur Poker Association & Tour Main event which is buy in of £75.
It looks like a great tournament with 10k chips and 45minute blinds. The only problem is gettin the time off work and finding a hotel in Bolton for that time. The drive is 3hours which is a nacker but its a good thing I have a car (so i can quickly drive home in rage after a bad beat).
Is any1 else from the UK playing in this event?
Is it worth it for this event? 1st place gets £3,500, a cup, a gold medal and a £1060 GUKPT main event ticket.

I doubts it's like a turbo. With havin dealers set at the tables too i can see 45 minute levels b-in plenty of time to b patient & pick good spots.

when u only get 25 hands per hour, 45 minutes is not a lot of time

Would be about equivalent to regular 15 minute levels online then, depends on how much the blinds start at and jump to as to how decent the structure is...sounds like pretty good inexpensive live event, its the 3 hour drive and time off work that might not make it worthwhile. If you're ready for a short vacation though, go for it.

45 minute levels, wow do you get nap time. You could be one tired puppy marathoning through that one. Not for me, but good luck.
