From NY that is. I am going to try it out tomorrow and Im curious to hear other peoples opinions. I heard/read/hoping that they give you $20 upon arrival after you pay a $35 round trip fee as long as you have 21 ID. Also are the two casinos Hilton and Tropicana walking distance from each other? Looks that way from Google maps.

Sounds like what they do out here, $30 for the round trip ticket & they give you $20 to gamble with when you arrive, not a bad deal if you don't mind hangin on the bus with a bunch of oldsters.

Haven't gone from NYC in over 25 years when I lived there. I now live in Philly, but I imagine they all operate the same way. Cover their expenses (gas), and your trip is virtually free, with what they give you back. BTW, they have the same Greyhounds going from the main Philly station for maybe $22 RT, and they give you $20 back. I get a better deal near me, but nothing you'd care about (and it's for the Trop).

At any rate, The Hilton is very old, and is the very furthest hotel on the south end of the strip. Trop is next, a 4 or 5 minute walk north. Then you get Trump & Ballys (forget what order), Caesars, Taj, etc, Showboat. The Showboat on the north end is maybe 1/2 hour walk (a mile and a half?).

P.S. Have a fun time!! If it's live poker you're after, you should find some action at the Hilton or Trop, but perhaps more at the Taj and Caesars. The most at the Borgata, but it's not on the strip, and you'll have to take a bus/jitney or cab.

Is ANYTHING in walking distance in the US? Even the letterbox 45 yards up the street is worth to drive to...

whoooo...came back from AC last night. I was a mess at the poker tables but you can see my other threads for that. I was very satisfied with the greyhound service. There is a bus about every half an hour to and from AC and you get some kind of cash/bonus back at every casino. Plus you did not have to tip the bus driver which was some kind of standard with the Chinatown buses. Positive experience overall.

The positive experience part applies only to greyhound lol. We started out at Caesars and finished at Taj Mahal. I personally like Caesars whole layout very artistic but I lost a squatload of money there. Taj was just a club/luxury feeling which was very nice as well. Anyway here is my poker experience, feel free to critique.
