Anyone know about dealing poker in Ireland?

Hi everyone! I'm curious if anyone knows anything about dealing poker in ireland. I know in the states the money is good, but how is it in Ireland? Is it considered a fairly decent job?

Part of the reason I ask is I'm looking at Ireland compared to the US and it seems the average person makes more money in Ireland, but I found some advertisements and it seems like at least some of the posts that they are only paying like 16 Euros an hour, which is around 20$ USD... I make a lot more than that here in the US...


Anyone that can help or really any information about poker in Ireland in general.

hi, i play in Dublin which is the main hub for Irish poker, for the bigger tournaments the likes of pokerstars bring alot of their own dealers to their tournaments (the last tournament i played a few weeks ago the dealer at our table was saying they were leaving early in the morning to travel to monte carlo then onto russia - not a bad life) but the regular dealers which are the same faces around the local tournaments and casinos make i believe minimum wage plus a percentage of tips/rake from cash tables. Many the dealers work at the weekend while working other jobs throughout the week. Its a close knit set up here in Ireland everyone knows everyone on the poker scene especially dealers tds sponsors organisers etc and i do see regular posts on fb looking for dealers for games etc so getting work wouldnt be to hard i'd imagine! One thing to take into account also is the high cost of living in Dublin (8th most expensive city in europe and more expensive than Paris and just about better than London) tho costs lower alot outside Dublin even the towns only an hour away are half price in rent/to buy so if you drive that would be an advantage) If you wish i can pass on details of the 2 main td's/organisers here in Ireland who are involved with pokerstar/partypoker as well as casinos and local tournaments around dublin who i'm certain would be interested if you have the experience. Tho as i said i'm not certain that it would pay as good as say vegas etc but there is deffo work and opportunities for a good quality dealer in Dublin.
