Anyone ever taken part in the WSOP Main Event?

Just wondering if anyone here has ever bought in to the $10,000 Main Event?

I'm seriously considering entering next year as I don't really have any dependents.

What do you think is a reasonable amount to take with you to include your buy in, accommodation and a few cash games. I've been to Vegas a few times but how much do the room costs jump up during the event?

I've taken part of it. In my living room, eating some chips.

I have been real close to making the Main Event via a FTP satellite before Black Friday occurred. I am going to play this tournament some day!

If my job ever relocates me close to Vegas I might take save up and enter just so that I can play once and lose $10,000 on my first hand due to a cooler

It'd be sweet though making the money!

That is very awesome! Congrats to her. I have it on my bucket list, but not getting my hopes up. I for sure will be at the WSOP at some point though. I really want to play in one of the smaller events, and if I am lucky enough to make a good score, I would consider playing the Main Event.
