Earlier in tourny i was in 10th of 23 left, i was delt Dark Jacks and ended up with headsup with chip lead preflop....flop came :icon_chee sums up how i felt. chip lead bet 50% of pot which made it huge :icon_chee :icon_chee :icon_chee i reraised all in he called and turned over he had 2 outs with a on turn and river i won the pot. I cashed and chip lead never played nearly as good as he did leading up to this hand i sent him on tilt. Now to the question what are the chances of two ppsflopping set????????????????

Negreanu got busted out of the main event this year. He had pocket 6's and his opponent had pocket 9's and the flop came x-6-9. I'm not sure of the odds but it certainly has happened to me a few times.

he got beat on high stakes poker buy gus H... daniel had 6s gus had 5s both got set card on flop and 5 came on turn which is about an 8% possiblty with 2 outs..... i know that one lol.....

is the answer in there or do i gotta read through that whole thing just to find it........if it is in there what is it....

set over set is more common than u think. its just ugly side of variance. I have about 100k hands that I have tracked and i have been a par of set over set over 2 times. multi way pot that everyone hits a set it. I have had top set both times. I still think i have the HH from one of them otherweis i have rebooted my windows and lost the other database. good thing you were on the good side of this one but if you are on the other end, you just gotta shrug it off becouse when you get it in with bottom/middle set you are good most of the time.

Given you have a pocket pair and an opponent has a different pair, the probability of you flopping a set is about one time in eight. The opponent's is somewhat lower since your set card has used up one of the three possible places within the flop. Ignoring the small chance that you flopped quads, his probability is around on in 12. If you combine these, you get set over set happening a little over 1% of the time when two players begin with pocket pairs.

It has happened to me twice, terrible feeling. In those moments i really wonder if the site isn't rigged, but i know it isn't since it happens to anyone

happened to me a few times..it's a horribleee feeling ..i had KK once the flop came AK4 i guy raised i pushed and he calls and turns over AA ...it happens to everyone and im even after doing it to ppl with me having a higher pocket pair then the other guy ...i was called alot of horrible names that day lol!!!

Set over Set

I would think it is more likely to happen with small pairs and monster pairs. Here is why. With small pairs you will get someone limping in and another calling. However, better players can lay down 9's, 10's, and J's if someone who is a farily tight palyer reraises all in. You should know they might be holding a large pair if not aces.
