I want to go to a casino sometime next month to play some poker, but I am not old enough to go in the United States. Has anybody been to a casino in canada, if so how was it, were there a lot of people at the cash tables, and did they have any good tournaments? Thanks.

I'm also underage (Even by Canadian/Indian standards) but I've heard great things about Casino Windsor across the lake from me. If I were you, it's cheaper to find a local indian casino. Only need to be 18 at those (or at least at Cherokee casinos)

Being that Canada is the second largest country in the world, it may be helpful if you specified WHERE in Canada you might be visiting.

I don't know exactly where I am looking to go. But probably the eastern part, somewhere that is pretty close to New York.

If you are serious enough to make a trip, get a map and figure out where you are going. Then someone can actually answer your question.

Ive been to Casino Niagara right across the border near Buffalo, NY. (Right near Niagra Falls). I only played poker for about an hour, and its my only live casino experience in poker, but the cardroom was very nice and people were friendly. I played blackjack and craps the rest of my time there which was great, dealers were very good, plenty of tables, limits, etc. You have to be 19 years old to get in I believe. There are also a number of great bars/restaurants/places of entertainment within walking distance of the casino.

I am from the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area and work right on the border. The best Casino across the border is the Fallsview. It is relatively new and has a beautiful cardroom. The other casino is Casino Niagara. It's alright but the people that play there are retarded, pretty easy money in the long run, but gets you frustrated when they luck out. But I highly recommend the Fallsview, plus they are always having concerts and other good attractions.

If you want to come out west, River Rock Casino in Richmond, BC is very nice. Lots of tables and usually a good time. Home of the largest CPT event.
