5-Card Draw is my favorite game besides NLHE... I just don't enjoy LHE or PLO and am just starting up a conversation :)

I wish. It would be neat to be able to play this live at a casino sometime. I personally enjoy playing a variety of games live, but mostly the only offering is hold em.

NLHE is really fun... 5-Card Draw is the truest poker game I do not understand why they don't have it but it is such a great game!

Online 5 Card Draw-Luck or Skill?

Is online 5 card draw a game of all luck or is there some skill involved? To me online it seems more like a game of luck than skill, I can see how there's some added skill playing live due to tells, but it just doesn't seem like its a skill game on the internet.

Just as much skill as live! That is just like saying NLHE online is not skill because you cant see tells, luck is short-term and skill is long-term

Yea but in NLHE there's community cards, that makes a world of difference.

NLHE is definitely more of skill game... Say that NLHE is 30% Luck and 70% skill online or live, 5-Card Draw might be 40% Luck and 60% skill whether it is online or live, if that makes sense

I prefer to play No-limit holdem but sometimes I play 5 card draw as well - mostly it's when the holdem starts to boring me. I have succeed few times - mainly getting tickets to other tournaments by managing top-72 in pokerstars 5-draw freerolls.

Haha Holdem never gets boring to me but it is just that I like to change it up once in a while... I wish more 5CD players were around, however

5-Card Draw is a cool game but can be realy tough. You dont have idea what your opponent have and the number cards he discards give you not enough information about his hand. Anyway it`s the true poker game.

I personally lovre 5 card draw, and agree theres more of a luck factor, but you still have to be able to play. One of the challenges is that I don't play enough and it seems that I get a little rusty with this game after a while. When I was a younger lad, Draw was where it was at!!!!

When I was a young boy, that was the one and only kind of poker that we kids played. Now is pretty much boring to me. In this days, I try some freerolls on PS for tickets. Lot of All In fake situations. I think the odds are from "Twilight Zone":D If someone get a straight, than there's allways someone who have better hand, flush or something. And again, if someone get a flush, there's someone who have full house.

They don't play 5 card draw on any of the sites I play on or any of the clubs I play in. There is a reason, it is luck, there is no community cards and there is not a dealer I know that would want to deal it if they had a choice.. It's a home game for people that don't know how to play poker. No offense, just my opinion...

Pokerstars has 5 Card draw tables. But there's no one on there at the moment. I read the Jon Fox book and got really interested but have rarely had chance to play it
